As the Internet grows in size, so does the amount of text based information that exists. For many application spaces it is paramount to isolate and identify texts that relate to a particular topic. While one-class classification would be ideal for su
ch analysis, there is a relative lack of research regarding efficient approaches with high predictive power. By noting that the range of documents we wish to identify can be represented as positive linear combinations of the Vector Space Model representing our text, we propose Conical classification, an approach that allows us to identify if a document is of a particular topic in a computationally efficient manner. We also propose Normal Exclusion, a modified version of Bi-Normal Separation that makes it more suitable within the one-class classification context. We show in our analysis that our approach not only has higher predictive power on our datasets, but is also faster to compute.
In this research we will examine the method of calculating azimuth and
latitude based on the parameters and mathematical equations for the
movement of the earth، stars and astronomical equipment.
A Simple, accurate and highly sensitive spectrophotometric method have been
developed for the rapid determination of Ofloxacine (OFX) in pure form and
pharmaceutical formulations. The visible spectrophotometric method was based on the
formation of
a Orange Yellow colored complex between the (OFX) and 2-amino-6-
nitrobenzothiazole (ANB) at pH 5.2 and 80±5 ºC in 5 min., and λmax at 440 nm. The
effects of analytical parameters on the reported system were investigated. Beer's law was
obeyed in the concentration range of 1.80-86.72 μg/mL, with a percentage relative standard
deviation not exceed ±2.54 and the molar absorptivity coefficients was 3.952×103
(L/mol.cm). Interferences of the other ingredients and excipients were not observed, the
results showed that the developed method with the accuracy and sensitivity highs.
This paper introducesa new expert system (ES) for faulted section determination in
electrical power system andinterpretingthe performance of the protective system (relays
and circuit breakers). The introducedESrequiresinformation about the power sy
stem
configuration and about the contacts status (open/closed) of the circuit breakers and
protective relays. It can determine the faulted section quickly and accurately for all types
of faults including simultaneous faults. It is general, i.e.it can be usedwith any power
system,due to the separation between the Facts and Rules. The introducedES isdeveloped
and tested by CLIPS environment (C Language Integrated Production System) which uses
forward chaining to derive conclusion.
The performance of the introduced ES is tested for several power systems, IEEE–6 bustest
system, IEEE–9 bustest system andIEEE–14 bustest system, and it shows a distinct
performance for all tested systems. But for space limitation, we present in this paper the
performance results of the introduced ES for the IEEE–9 bustest system only.
The possibility of formating a colored complex between Fe2+ ions and 4-Hydroxy-3-

Grapefruit (Citrus Paradisi) is one of many citrus species that are widely cultivated
in the west Mediterranean coast of Syria, the fruit is rich in flavonoid (a natural medical
compounds), naringin considered the major flavonoid in Grapefruit.
Pr
evious studies have documented a wide range of biological effects and therapeutic
properties that belong to naringin; therefore, it became a raw material in pharmaceutical
industries.
It was the aim of this study is to have naringin extracted from grapefruit by an
economic method, and assign its levels, in preparation for industrial investment.
Two types (red blush) and (march) where collected from three districts in Syrian
coast, they were collected at the beginning of harvest season and at the end of it, fruits
grown in sun light and those grown in shade were collected tow, so that healthy fruit and
partly infected.
A water alkaline method was applied to extract naringin, then a quantitive and
qualitative determination was made to the resulting compound.
Results revealed that naringin content in March grapefruit at the beginning of the
harvest season was 45.53 g/kg and 44.8 g/kg in Red Blush grapefruit so on at the end of the
harvest season it was 10.29 g/kg in March and 9.32 g/kg in Red Rlush.
We have concluded that that Syrian Grapefruit have sufficient naringin cotent for
economical investment, and that water alkaline method is a suitable economic method to
extract naringin from grapefruit white peels.
The goal of this study is to compare three bony structures in order to choose the best method for the age determination of Chondrostoma regium inhabiting the Tishreen Reservior (Euphrates River). So, 214 individuals were collected between 15/7/2011 a
nd 15/5/2012 using appropriate gill nets. Scales, vertebrae and operculum were independently used by two readers to estimate the age. Mean ages were estimated for each bony structure-reader combination and the precision of age estimated from multiple readings was evaluated. Furthermore, the error of ageing was calculated.
The results showed that the fish ages were varied between (2-6), (3-6) and (2-5) years- judged by scales, vertebrae and operculum respectively.
Results also showed that vertebrae were the most reliable bony structure for estimating the ages of Chondrostoma regium as they had the highest agreement and the lowest ageing error.
This study highlights the forms of deprivation and determination in
the poetry of al-Muthaqqab al-Abdi, depending on certain poetical
images that disclose the parameters of the circulating conflict
between the poet and time via a cultural apocalyp
se that apparently
envisages the concentricity of the antagonist. Also, this research
reveals the co-existence of al-Muthaqqab al-Abdi of certain different
contradictory existential forms through two streams: the first confirms his fragility and deprivation of liberty and the self, the second confirms his identity and freedom. Among these two streams lies a passing bridge that leads him to the world of determination and existence.
