Abstract We introduce an Edit-Based TransfOrmer with Repositioning (EDITOR), which makes sequence generation flexible by seamlessly allowing users to specify preferences in output lexical choice. Building on recent models for non-autoregressive seque
nce generation (Gu et al., 2019), EDITOR generates new sequences by iteratively editing hypotheses. It relies on a novel reposition operation designed to disentangle lexical choice from word positioning decisions, while enabling efficient oracles for imitation learning and parallel edits at decoding time. Empirically, EDITOR uses soft lexical constraints more effectively than the Levenshtein Transformer (Gu et al., 2019) while speeding up decoding dramatically compared to constrained beam search (Post and Vilar, 2018). EDITOR also achieves comparable or better translation quality with faster decoding speed than the Levenshtein Transformer on standard Romanian-English, English-German, and English-Japanese machine translation tasks.
This paper provides a description of syllable structure in Lattakian Syrian Arabic.
Results of a study conducted for this purpose revealed 14 basic syllable structures. It also
illuminates the characteristics of syllable elements in this dialect. Some parameters,
namely, the minimum sonority distance and the obligatory contour principle were
investigated.
The research aims at identifying the role of training strategy -as an essential function
of human resources management- in career planning for the employees in Latakia Textile
Company.Due to the importance of planning and career development for employees in the
public sector and its role in increasing the efficiency of employees performance and thus
organization efficiency.
Basically the aim of this study is to study the integration of the Total quality management system (TQM) and the Theory of Constraints (TOC) and focus on the positive effects of this integration for the purpose of reducing cost and improving achievem
ent, In order to achieve this primary objective, The researcher studied the intellectual frame and scientific rooting for each of the Total quality management (TQM) and the theory of constraints (TOC) from the perspective of reducing cost and improving achievement.
The researcher designed questionnaire aimed to execute field study to test hypotheses, The study population consisted of a group of industrial companies working in the Syrian Arab Republic, The questionnaire was directed to each of: (Executive Director, Production Manager, Quality Manager, Quality inspectors, CFO, Cost accountants) for each company.
The substantive constraints of privatization initially deal with the question of
whether a certain privatization is constitutionally permitted in the first place, or not,
because many countries like France, protect the public services by the provis
ions of
the constitution, and It is a common feature of constitutional texts that they include
provisions defining the main branches of government - the executive, the legislature
and the judiciary - and these provisions may be interpreted, that it would not be
possible to completely privatize this functions.
There was within the last 50 years a lot of database applications in which time plays an
important role. These applications revealed a lack in time support within the current DBMSs as
the application should give the data the temporal semantics rela
ted to it, also to check the
temporal constraints. Therefore, researches were made in order to embed this temporal
semantics and constraints in the DBMS itself, also to provide a new query language that can be
tagged as “temporal”.
The study was conducted in Damascus district, due to the importance of
vegetable cultivation in this area. Two towns were selected randomly and four
villages from each selected town with ten vegetable farmers from each selected
village were random
ly selected for the study. Thus, the total size of the sample
was 80 farmers. The data was collected with the help of specially designed and
pre-tested interview schedule. The objectives of the study were; to study some
socio - economic variables of vegetable growers, and to know their sources of
agricultural information, marketing channels, training needs and the main
constraints faced them in producing and marketing of vegetables.
