استخدمت في هذه التجربة عقل ساقية نصف قاسية في الموعدين الخريفي و الربيعي (أيلول و آذار) و التي عوملت بأربعة تراكيز من الأوكسين IBA) 2000, 4000, 6000,8000) جزء بالمليون بطريقة الغمس السريع إضافة إلى الشاهد، ثم زرعت بشكل عشوائي على أوساط تجذير مختلفة.
أشارت النتائج إلى تفوق الوسط (فيرميكولايت+ بتموس) معنوياً على كافة الأوساط المستخدمة عدا وسط البرليت في نسبة التجذير (90.5%)، و في متوسط طول الجذور عدا وسط البتموس منفرداً (10.9 سم)، و في عدد الجذور المتشكلة لكن على جميع الأوساط المدروسة (7.19 جذر/عقلة)، و ذلك باستخدام التراكيز 6000 و 4000 و 8000 جزء بالمليون على التوالي.
تفوق موعد أخذ العقل في الخريف معنوياً على موعد أخذ العقل في الربيع في نسبة التجذير عند استخدام التركيز 6000 جزء بالمليون، إذ وصلت إلى أقصاها (100%)، و في متوسط عدد الجذور الذي بلغ ( 10.30 جذر/عقلة) عند استخدام التركيز 8000 جزء بالمليون. و أيضاً في متوسط طول الجذور عند التركيز 4000 جزء بالمليون (11.69سم)، حيث يمكن ربط ذلك بالحالة الفسيولوجية للعقل التي تختلف حسب الفصول.
كان للتراكيز الهرمونية تأثيرٌ واضحٌ في نسبة تفتح البراعم و التجذير و نسبة تشكل الكالس على قواعد العقل المعاملة، حيث ازدادت قيمها بازدياد التركيز الهرموني عدا نسبة التجذير التي انخفضت نسبياً عند8000 جزء بالمليون.
أظهرت العقل المجذرة قدرة عالية على التأقلم مع ظروف البيت الزجاجي ثم مع ظروف الوسط الخارجي، حيث بلغت نسبة نجاح التقسية 90% بعد شهرين من نقلها عند النوع المدروس.
Studying of using of semi-hardwood cuttings that were got from
different ages for Magnolia gradiflora L. trees: Young trees that are
15 years old, middle-aged trees that are 30 years old, and only one old
giant tree which is 110 years old were per
formed by treating the
cuttings with Indole Butric Acid Rooting Hormone 2000 P.P.M. which
was used during three periods of time: 10, 20 ,and 30 seconds under
green house conditions.
The study showed that IAA treated cuttings were rooted earlier and bud
development was delayed. On the other hand, IAA treatment increased rooting
percentage and reduced the percentage of bud development. Increasing
NaCl salinity to ٠,١ M decrease
d the rooting ability in cuttings, while the
use of IAA could mitigate the adverse effect of salinity. The best results of
rooting were obtained in treatment of (٠,٠٥ M).

Jasminum sambac, or Arabian jasmine is one of the most important
Jasminum species in perfume industry. It is an ornamental evergreen erect
shrub. Flowering date starts from the early May till the end of October. Syrian
climate is very suitable for
the growth and the flowering of the shrub, therefore
the study was carried aut to investigate the effect of some major factors on
rooting of semi-hard wood cuttings.
Effect of different doses of Gamma radiation (٢٠٠, ٤٠٠, and ٨٠٠ Rad) on
rooting of different clones of poplar was investigated. Results showed that the
dose of ٢٠٠ rad had a great effect on rooting. Percentage and the root length.
On the other han
d, the dose of ٨٠٠ rad had a negative effect on rooting. The
negative effect could be to the breakdown of the auxins in the cuttings. It had
been noticed that there was similarity among means of root weights with
regard to clones of Populus alba cv. buchovina. As for as the doses were
concened, these were no signix ficant diffecsnses among maens of that ments.
The present study was conducted on aerial offshoots of date palm
Berhi cultivar after separation from their mother trees, their bases were
dipped in solution of plant growth regulator (IBA).
