The research was carried out during 2014 and 2015 agricutural season ,To study the effect of spraying cytokinin regulator on vigitative and fruiting charachterstics cotton plant.
Jasminum sambac, or Arabian jasmine is one of the most important Jasminum species in perfume industry. It is an ornamental evergreen erect shrub. Flowering date starts from the early May till the end of October. Syrian climate is very suitable for the growth and the flowering of the shrub, therefore the study was carried aut to investigate the effect of some major factors on rooting of semi-hard wood cuttings.
This study aimed to investigate Four levels of IBA concentration: (0 (control), 1000, 2000, 4000 ppm) and three kinds of rooting media: sand, peatmoss, sand+sawdust in ratio of 1:1 in a factorial complete random design. The results indicated that the concentration of 2000 ppm was superior at rooting percentage 76%, root number (20 roots) and root length 13 cm over the other levels of concentration. Besides, the media of (Sand+Sawdust) was superior at rooting percentage 72%, rooting number (19 roots), root length 11 cm, physical and chemical charactaristics and the charactaristics of the rooted cuttings.
Semi-wooden cuttings of two - jujuba cultivars were vegetitirely propagated under greenhouse conditions, by using different concentrations of Indole butyric acid (IBA), at Hanadi Research Station, Lattakia. The rooting percentage reached 71.3% aft er two months for the Ziziphus jujube mill, and 83.3% for the Ziziphus jujube tayan tsizao, when they were treated with 4000 mg/L of (IBA) for five seconds while the rooting percentage was zero for the non-treated cuttings (Control) .
The study was conducted at the growing season 2009 in one of an orchard in Abu-Al-Khaseeb region – Basrah, studied the effects of spraying of GA3 concentration of 25 mg. l-1 and spraying of liquorice extract concentration (5, 10) g.l-1 and sprayin g of Roselle extract concentration (15, 20) g.l-1 as well as compared treatment (spraying with distilled water) in two stage hbabok and Kemri on fruit drop and qualities of Braim cultivar, showed results that the spray in hababok stage and treatment of GA3 concentration 25 mg.l-1 increased of weight and size of the fruit significantly and did not show significant differences between the spray at the stage of hababok and Kemri in influencing the T.S.S., while treatment of spraying liquorice extract concentration of 5 gm.l- 1 increased total soluble solids and dry matter significantly, werever spraying at the stage of Kemri with GA3 increased significantly in water content of fruits, while sprarying in hababok stage increased in dry matter content of the fruits and did not show significant differences between the results of treatments or the stage of spraying in effect of Drop fruits for a cultivar of Braim through the stages of growth and maturity (Khalal, Rutab and Tammar) this results confirms that the phenomenon of drop fruit under the influence of genetic type male and female cultivar.
