Evaluation for many natural language understanding (NLU) tasks is broken: Unreliable and biased systems score so highly on standard benchmarks that there is little room for researchers who develop better systems to demonstrate their improvements. The
recent trend to abandon IID benchmarks in favor of adversarially-constructed, out-of-distribution test sets ensures that current models will perform poorly, but ultimately only obscures the abilities that we want our benchmarks to measure. In this position paper, we lay out four criteria that we argue NLU benchmarks should meet. We argue most current benchmarks fail at these criteria, and that adversarial data collection does not meaningfully address the causes of these failures. Instead, restoring a healthy evaluation ecosystem will require significant progress in the design of benchmark datasets, the reliability with which they are annotated, their size, and the ways they handle social bias.
This research carries how to do steel pipelines defects repair process by a simple and
easy way. At first the region that surrounds the defect is cleaned then the epoxy material is
put over the defect after mixing the resin with the hardener well.
Epoxy layer dimensions
depend on the defect dimensions that exists in the pipe. After that, the specimen is released
for a period of time to obtain the setting process. Several types of epoxy were used for
preparing series of specimens, which were tested on the pressure set up to estimate the
efficiency of this way in the repair, and knowing the pressure values that epoxy layer can
carry. A pipe of three holes their radius are equal, was treated by using ALTECO QUICK
EPOXY STEEL and the pressure gauge recorded many values that reached 18 bar. The
curve, that represents the relationship between the pressure which the epoxy layer carried
and its surface area, was drawn. It is found that the most effect factor in the repair process
is the specimen preparing and the thickness of the epoxy layer.
The aim of this study was to assessment the effect of using MohlerTechnique in primary repair ofunilateral cleft lip. The study comprised of12cases attendedto department of oral and maxillofacial surgery at Alassad University HospitalLattakia-Syria,
with completeunilateral cleft lip between 1 April 2014 and 1 April 2015. The clinical observation included taking photographs for the patients in anterior position to evaluate symmetry of cutaneous lip heights and in naso-frontal position to evaluate symmetry of nostrils between the cleft side and noncleft side at 15 days and 6 months postoperative.
The elapsed time is considered as an essential factor when some
procedures are required on resin composite restorations like
repairing, etc.., and the question is whether this factor is going to effect on using silorane resin composite.
Twenty sil
orane based resin composite blocks were prepared
(8×8×4)mm, randomly assigned into two groups: the first group 10 blocks, half of each resin block was removed by diamond burs after thermocycles, the second group 10 blocks also half of each resin block was removed by diamond burs after fabrication. All Interfacial surfaces were conditioned by (Cojet™, 3M ESPE). Blocks were restored with silorane resin composite and subjected to thermocycles. Microleakage observed under a stereomicroscope after blocks were immersed in 0.5% basic fuchsin solution for 10 s, and transversely sectioned.
Mann-Whitney U test found no statistically significant differences
in microleakage between two groups either with fresh silorane
resin composite group or aged silorane resin composite group.
Resin based composite considers substantially as a restorative
material in clinic. Dentists concern in placement resin composite
restorations with Long term survival.
Materials and Methods: 20 Non carious human third molars, class I
cavity was pr
epared in every molar, restored with methacrylate
resin composite Tetric EvoCeram. The restored teeth were
subjected to thermocycles. Specimen was randomly divided into
two groups : the first group 10 restorations, were repaired by
Cojet® (3M ESPE, Germany) and restored by Filtek™ P90, the
second group 10 restorations also repaired by Cojet ® but restored
by Filtek™ Z350 XT. After that all teeth were subjected to
thermocycles again, later immersed in 0.5% basic fuchsin solution
for 1 s. The teeth were transversely sectioned and observed under
a stereomicroscope. The degree of dye penetration was recorded
and analyzed.
Results: No statistically significant differences in microleakage
were observed between two groups either with low shrinkage
Silorane resin composite or methacrylate resin composite
the lapse of rhinoplasty results in cleft lip patients is considered one of the
challenges which limit of plastic surgery in oral facial deformities
This research aimed to evaluate the usage of two kinds of nasal stints (plastic and acrylic) at the results of
rhinoplasty in cleft lip patients.
intraoperative penile engorgement because of caudal epidural block may result
in tension on surgical sutures and alter surgical outcome
Aim & objective: to compare between the effect of penile block &caudal epidural block on the quality of
analges
ia & surgical outcome following hypospadias repair.
Repair of denture fractures is still a common problem in
prosthodontics. With denture fracture, patient may be affected esthetically,
functionally, and psychologically. In addition, patient will carry additional
costs. There is no information abou
t the causes and patterns of fracture of
acrylic dentures in Damascus.
The purpose of this study was to determine the prevalence of type
of denture repairs and the causes and patterns of denture fractures in
Damascus. Thus, we can reach recommendations may limit relevant
problems.

Ebstein’s anomaly represents 1 % of congenital heart disease, where the
septal and posterior leaflets of the tricuspid valve take origin at a level
lower than the atrio-ventricular junction. This deformity entails many
consequences such as tricusp
id insufficiency, paradoxical contraction of
the atrialised portion of the ventricle, hemodynamic disturbances,
arrhythmias, and right ventricular failure.
During the period between 1/6/1992 to 31/12/1997 we had performed 16
repair operations to Ebstein’s anomaly. WE performed plication of the
atrialised ventricular portion either transversely which was performed in
13 cases, or longitudinally in 3 cases due to extensive deformity of the
tricuspid valve. We used also Carpentier ring for annuloplasty of the
tricuspid valve.
These papers discuss the early and late results of this technique where the
physiological function of the patients improved generally from NYHA III
– IV to NYHA I – II, The contractile function of the right ventricle
improved as well as arrhythmias, while no death occurred between
treated patients.
