The aim of this study was to assessment the effect of using MohlerTechnique in primary repair ofunilateral cleft lip. The study comprised of12cases attendedto department of oral and maxillofacial surgery at Alassad University HospitalLattakia-Syria,
with completeunilateral cleft lip between 1 April 2014 and 1 April 2015. The clinical observation included taking photographs for the patients in anterior position to evaluate symmetry of cutaneous lip heights and in naso-frontal position to evaluate symmetry of nostrils between the cleft side and noncleft side at 15 days and 6 months postoperative.
Till today surgeons have hardly tried there best to find the
ideal surgical method that can perfectly correct the cleft lip deformity. The
aim of this research was to perform anthropometric study for unilateral
cleft lip surgical repair by using t
wo commonly-used surgical methods:
Millard and Pfeifer.
Residual palatal fistulas are common after repair of palatal cleft
and tumar incision in palate and nasal cavity.
Repair of residual oronasal fistula is not always successful. Twolayer
closure techniques that close these fistulas with soft tissue
are a common practice. Turnover flaps are the most used flaps
and often the sole method for nasal side closure of fistula.
Anteriorly based inferior turbinate flap can be used to provide soft
tissue for nasal-side closure when turnover flaps will not provide
sufficient tissue for this purpose.

laser depending on the following clinical indications: the pain
after 2 hours and 24 hours of surgery procedure, healing of

indications after removing periodontal dressing and gingival
bleeding during and after surgery.
