Ziziphora canescens is a species of important medicinal plants in Syria due
to its medicinal properties as antibiotic, flavors and spices in various foods.
This plant is important, especially in folk medicine in some areas (Kalamoon)
on the one ha
nd, and retreat of its spread which may lead eventually to its
extinction on the other hand, so a protocol for rapid micropropagation has
been developing by using lateral and apical buds on nutrient media MS
supplemented with different types and concentrations of plant growth
regulators.
This research aims at studying three poems written by Almu’tamed
Bin Abad when he was in a prison. It studies the role of language and
music in building the structure of the poems. Both language and music
reflect an agreement between the form and
the content of these poems. As
a result, a poetic sense of the poems, that Abn Abad written when he was
jailed, can be perceived clearly. These poems were chosen this because
they are different from other content in the other poems which reflect
experiment of poet

In the past four decades, the woven fabrics has been subject to inordinate
competition which has primarily come from the fashion (short runs),
knitting, and nonwoven segments. The weaving machinery manufacturers answered
the pressure of competitio
n by concentrating on the design of looms that offered relatively
very high speeds. Obviously, to meet the demands of the higher productivity on the loom,
the material characteristics and the quality and efficiency of the preceding processes also
needed to be improved. And this improvement is doing by encapsulate the yarn with size
film before weaving, by the sizing process which considered as the heart of weaving.
this research is aimed to studying the affective factors of sizing, and define the ideal
values of it. This research reffered to the effect of sizing machine speed on yarn size
witting time and then on its coating percent, other side the rollers squeezing pressure of
sizing machine and sizing solution viscosity affect on yarn size coating percent too which
affecting on its resistance toward weaving operation and usage later, because , the success
of sizing process leads to success the following stages like, weaving, finishing, and then,
success in fabric usage.
The roots of durum and bread wheat were treated with ٠,٢٪, ٠,٤٪, ٠,٨٪ and
١,٢٪ of the herbicide (٢،٤ - D + MCPA) for ٥, ١٠, ١٥ and ٢٠ hours. As the
period of treatment increased, the effect on mitotic rate and mitotic phases was
increased; this wa
s indicated by the correlation coefficient. Durum wheat gave
higher correlation coefficient. Chromosomal aberrations were noted during
anaphase as a result of the treatment with ٠,٢٪ concentration. Mitosis was fully
blocked and various genetical aberrations were observed as, multinuclei,
separation of DNA pieces and distraction of genetical material appeared at
higher concentration.

خاصة بالتنوع البيولوجي.
This research was aimed at evaluation of growth and productivity of two
pine species; namely, Maritime Pine Pinus pinaster Sol. and Brutia Pine P.
brutia Ten. at the Cool-Humid Bioclimate Zone in the Mid Altitudes of the
Coastal Mountain Ranges. T
he study revealed that, height growth was not
significant between the two species. Although average diameter at breast
height was significantly superior in Brutia pine to that of Maritime pine, this
was not reflected on productivity of trees, wood volume, or the annual growth
rate due to great differences in growth forms of the two species.
A successful and detailed in vitro propagation system for rapid
micropropagation of three apple rootstocks: MM ١٠٦, EM ٧ and M ٢٦ has
been developed. Shoot tips and axillary buds excised from field-grown trees
were used as explants, which were surface-disinfected with mercury bichloride,
or with solution of sodium or calcium hypochlorite followed by three rinses
with sterile distilled water.
This research aims to study the effect of Gebbrilin compounds, specially
GA٣, on the percentage of germination of seeds in different concentrations and
duration, Also the effect of this compound on the growth of the root cells and so
on the cellul
ar division.
It was observed from the results that these compounds had an evident effect
on the degree of germination within the low concentration, but it has an
opposition effect in the high concentrations. The results concerning the growth
of the roots are analogous to those of the germination results. An obvious
difference was in the reaction of wheat and barley to the different
concentrations of GA٣.
For the mitotic index no differences were observed compared to the control.
