The aim of the research was to evaluate the effectiveness of adding different concentrations of glutamine (25 and 50 mmol / ml), proline (25 and 50 mmol / mol) and vitamin B12 (2.5 and 5 mg / ml) to an extension solution (sodium citrate and glucose with egg yolk prepared in the laboratory, And comparing it with a ready-made commercial extension solution Andromed as a standard solution in preserving semen in male Shami goats.

The research aims to determine a water Quality Index for the Lake of 16 Tishreen Dam. To achieve this aim we have carried out a different periodical physicchemical and bacterial measurements on the water of the lake. The Samples were taken at five sites along the lake for a period of complete year. The indicators that ، NO2، NO3، BOD5، DO، EC، PH، Turbidity،have been measured are: Temperature and ، F.C. Measurement results were represented diagrammatically،PO4،NH4 compared with the Syrian Specification Standards for portable Water. The lake was Canadian Indices ، classed according to these Indices: Malays quality index (NEWWQI). The Lake was Classed according to these indices as ،(NSFWQI) from second grade at ،following:from third grade at all locations (Malays Index) and from ،the middle lake and from a third grade to all other locations (NSFWQI) second grade at all locations (NEWWQI). According to this indices the water is not good for drinking and needs treatment. The Productivity of the lake was determined. The Lake is Eutrophic according to TN-TP in the middle but Hypertrophic accordingtoTN-TP in all other location
This experiment was conducted at Kharabo farm, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Damascus. A total of 252 chicks of Japanese quail breeder females were distributed on the first day of life into two groups, Gicks in G1 were reared from 1-28 day s of age under ideal required temperature according to their age, while chicks in G2, were subjected to heat stress from 8 am to 5 pm at 42 °C from the first day of hatching until 28 day of age and to the ideal required temperature from 5 pm until 8 am. Chicks of each group were distributed into three subgroups, with three replicates per subgroup.

A hydroponic culture experiment was conducted under the green house conditions, at the general commission of scientific agricultural research, and the faculty of agriculture, Damascus university, during the year 2002-003. The objectives of this in vestigation concentrated on the influence of four salinity levels (0-50-100-150 mM NaCl) on some physiological parameters of eight sorghum genotypes. The experiment was designed in a RCB design with three replications.
This research aims at studying the effect of irrigation with different levels of NaCl on the growth and development of Syrian pears (Pyrus syriaca). The results showed that: 1. Salt stress reduced chlorophyll content (a,b and a+b) in salt treatment s compared to the control , which contained 67.48 mg/g (a), 111.62 mg/g (b) and 204.76 mg/g (a+b), while 1750 ppm of NaCl treatment contained 49.34 mg/g (a), 49.86 mg/g (b) and 158.77 mg/g (a+b) respectively. Treatment with 500 ppm of NaCl increased significantly chlorophyll content compared to other salt treatments. 2. Leaves content of proline increased with increasing NaCl levels. It reached 870.8 ng/g when irrigation water contained 1250 ppm of NaCl, while it decreased in other salt treatments. Leaves dry matter increased with the increase salt levels (24.50% for the control, and 44.86% for 1750 ppm of NaCl).
