قمنا بدراسة تخامد الامواج المغنوصوتية السطحية السريعة في الشمس الناتج عن الإشعاع الشمسي والتصادمات ودورها في تسخين طبقات الكرة اللونية ( Chromosphere ) وتاج الشمس ( Corona ) وذلك باعتبار أن هذا التخامد قد يكون أحد اسباب ارتفاع درجة حرارة هاتين الطبقتين رغم باتعادهما عن مصدر الحرارة الأساسي في الشمس وهو النواة (Core) .
