This thesis investigates a new transmission lines technologie called "Substrat Integrated Waveguide (SIW). SIW takes advantages of rectangular waveguides and microstrip transmission lines, to be used in the construction of low loss microwave circuits. At the beginning of this work, some well known technologies of transmission lines (like microstrip line, rectangular waveguide .... etc.) were studied, to recognize the advantages and disadvantages of each technology, and the applications that could be built by them. Then the structure of the substrate integrated waveguide technology was presented, and the possible propagation modes were studied. In addition, the aproximate equations used in its design were given. After that, a comparison between SIW and rectangular waveguide was done. Interconnections between SIW and other transmission lines (like microstrip line, rectangular waveguide .... etc.) were also studied, to define the structure that gives the lowest possible insertion loss and the widest passband. Finally, we reviewed the important role played by filters in the fields of cellular communications, radar, electronic warfare and satellite systems.

Substrate Integrated Waveguide (SIW) is an important technology that helps to get benefit of metal rectangular waveguides and Micostrip, allowing for microwave circuits with high-performance, high-integrity and low-cost. Using this technology, mic rowave circuits with high performance, small size and high integrity could be designed.
The purpose of this research is to design and realization of an electronic circuitthat is able to control the water level in a tank. The circuit shows a tank water level in decimal numbers and controls the volume of water in the tank. So that when th e level of water drops below a specific value that is preselected using a probe, the pump water works. When the water level reaches to another limit value, the pump stops working.We used for water level control a container which is made by transparent glass with volume of 15 L. the container is divided in nine levels. In addition to this purpose, because of large applications for realized electronic board, The circuit measures the speed of rotation of DC motorsin a wide range (0001 to 9999) cycles during a chosen period of time that ranges from 1 sec to 110 sec and display the speed of rotation in decimal numbers that appears on four displays. Moreover, the circuit contains a switch reset/start, for display clear and restart of measurement. This study was carried out on samples of tap water, for several values of distance between the probes, and power supply. We found a quick response in showing levels and high efficiency in performance. We measured the number of special motor cycles for several values of the power supply during 30 s and 60 s, and the relation between the number of cycles and applied voltagewas drawingwe found it a linear relation.
The contamination of groundwater with nitrates is a common problem in many countries of the world, especially the agricultural ones where the pollution originates in these countries mainly from the use of excessive fertilization in agricultural are as, industrial waste, sewage, animal dung, and the "installation of air nitrogen by plants, the nitrogen compounds that arise due to some industries and vehicle emissions which are deposited on the ground in solids. The nitrate compounds are carcinogens and hazardous to human health If they were in high concentrations. The risk of this turning into nitrite nitrate uptake by the bacteria, especially in the abdomen which in turn causes what is known as Balmithmoglubenemea in infants and pregnant women (Infant disease blueness). It can also cause stomach cancer in adults through its interaction with amines and amides in the abdomen, forming carcinogens (Alntrozzomedat and Alentrzoaminat). Therefore, you must apply the foundations of the integrated management of groundwater in the study area to maintain low levels of nitrate in groundwater used for drinking and irrigation.
IDDQ testing techniques are used to detect the physical defects such gate oxide shorts,floating gates and bridging faults, and which happen for the presence of manufacturing faults during the manufacturing processes of CMOS integrated circuits, wh ich cannot be detected by classical logical testing.
