The Mediterranean Diet is a healthy diet which protects from many diseases, but many factors could affect the adherence and vary from country to country. The purpose of this study is to assess the adherence to Mediterranean Diet of the sample, then studying the economic and social factors and lifestyle which affect the adherence to Mediterranean diet. The sample was composed of 1000 people (516) women (484) men aged from 18-65 years from all the economic and social levels, they filled a semi-quantitative food frequency questionnaire. we used the SPSS program.

The study, has Focused on determination of the most important hydrochemical characteristics of water at AL-kabir alshemali estuary area by determination the concentration of nutrient ions (nitrate, nitrite, ammonia, phosphates and silicates) and th e factors affecting them. Water samples were collected from several stations of that area between March 2017 and January 2018. The highest concentrations of nutrient throughout the year were reported at river estuary point (K0), a depression in their concentrations was observed in the station distanced away from the river estuary point, compatible with salinity gradient. River estuary point (K0) formed the main source of nutrients that are distributed to other stations. Nutrient concentrations showed clear gradual depression in winter down to more than 1,000 meters from the estuary point, while the gradient in summer has less extension, It was within the first 50 meters in some monthes.
In the light of the circumstances in the contemporary world of privatization, this research aims to study the effect of the privatization on the technical efficiency of container terminal using Stochastic Frontier Analysis, the study has applied on t he most important Mediterranean container terminals. The results concluded that the technical efficiency rate was 76.17%. The full private ownership of container terminals does not reflect the high levels of technical efficiency. The full public ownership of container terminals also did not reflect the high levels of technical efficiency, but it is the best of the private sector. However, the technical efficiency of public container terminal can be improved with participation of the private sector, and advised partnership between the public sector and the private sector with rate of 38.5% according to the results of research.
The research aims to study the relationship between the health situation variables and a group of economic variables in Syria during the Period (2000-2011), as the research aims to create a mathematical model that illustrates the relationship betwe en them using Canonical Analysis. The most significant results as follows: - There is a very strong and statistically significant correlation between health level variables and economic variables. - The result of canonical analysis shows that national income per capita is the most influential variable in health-level variables, followed by total investments, and hence average per capita gross domestic product, and then the revised rate of activity. - The result of canonical analysis shows that the average population per bed and crude mortality rate have a strong impact on economic variables. - We have come to build a mathematical model that represents the relationship between health level variables and economic variables.
The research aimed to study the impact of social and economic factors on consumer spending Syrian family of lamb during the three periods 2003/2004- 2006/2007 -2008/2009 and identify the most important factors affecting the demand of lamb per-capi ta during the period 1985-2008. The results showed that the average monthly household expenditure of lamb affected during periods of above-mentioned periods by the geographical distribution of population between rural and urban areas, change the taste and preferences of the consumer, educational level of the head of the household, the size of family, monthly family income and profession of the head of household. As it turned out that spending on lamb was flexible in general, where more than one value was correct, but it was more flexible in the period 2008/2009 from the two previous periods. Reaching flexibility spending power in both periods preceding the value of 1.1, while the 1.6 in the period 2008/2009, and interpreted the factors studied explained collectively about 73.7% of the variation in the quantities consumed of the lamb, and the value of the price elasticity special lamb 1.31, and flexibility Cross 1.29, and 0.39 was the spending flexibility. It was found that there was a need to provide adequate amounts of lamb to meet demand and reduce unjustified rise to its price in the local market and also to pay attention to the poultry sector, which constitutes a major and a good alternative to lamb.
This research aims at studying the relationship between the industrial demographic variables as it is one of the most important Syrian economic sectors and the most laboremployment, and the inputs of this sector in particular and the inputs of the rest of the economic sectors. A number of results were found, most notably the existence of a statistically significant relationship between the inputs of the industrial sector and the total number of workers in the industrial sector, and the relationship between these inputs and the qualitative, sectoral and educational structure of the industrial sector.
