تم في هذه الدراسة فحص 50 فرداً من النوع السمكي السلطان إبراهيم الصخري Mullussurmuletus، بهدف التقصي عن الإصابة بالطفيليات الخارجية. جمعت العينات السمكية من المياه البحرية لمحافظة اللاذقية (جبلة و اللاذقية) في الفترة الممتدة بين 15/10/2014 و 30/10/2015، و فحص الجلد و التجويف الفموي و الفتحتين الأنفيتين و التجويف الغلصمي و الغلاصم لجميع الأفراد المصطادة. عزل في هذا البحث نوع واحد من الديدان وحيدات الجيل Monogenea من غلاصم الأسماك المدروسة و ذلك للمرة الأولى من المياه البحرية السورية و حتى من البحر المتوسط، و هو النوع الطفيلي Grubea cochlear الذي ينتمي لفصيلة Mazocraeidae. حيث بلغ عدد الأسماك المصابة بديدان هذا النوع 20 سمكة من أصل 50 سمكة مدروسة بنسبة إصابة 40% و شدة إصابة بلغت 5 طفيلي/ سمكة.
In the present study,a total of 50 individuals ofsurmulletMullussurmuletuswere examined forexoparasites infections. The specimens were collected from the Syrian marine waters (Latakia, Jablah) between 15/10/2014 and 30/10/2015. The skin, mouth cavity, nostrils and gills of each specimen were examined. One parasite species belonging to Monogenea,Grubea cochlear was identified for the first time in the Syrian marine waters and in Mediterranean Sea. This species, memberof the family Mazocraeidae,was isolated from the gills. The number of infected fish was 20 fish out of 50 sampled fish; withprevalence of 40% and Intensity of 5 parasite/ Fish.

This paper aimed to present the first record of Pterois miles (Bennet, 1828) off the
Syrian coast (Eastern Mediterranean). Two specimens (159; 206 mm SL) were captured in
Syrian waters between Lattakia and Jableh in 28th September 2015 and 10th Dec
ember
2015. This first record of common lionfish Pterois miles in the Syrian coast could confirm
the occurrence of this species in the Levant Basin (eastern Mediterranean). This is the fifth
record of the species reported to date in the region. These records are not sufficient to state
that the species is substantially established in the area, but investigations are rapidly
needed to avoid unfavorable consequences on local environment and economy.
Research on marine fish parasites is very low in Syria, and there is
no research on parasites of cultured marine fish. Study was
performed in aiming to detect the occurrence of ectoparasites
worms of siganus rivulatu s Fish.
During the study of Molluscs/Cephalopods and their diversity and distributionin the
Syrian marine waters; the presence of squid Ommastrephaes bartramii has recordedfor the
first time locally, three individuals were collected during March and April
of 2016,
twoindividuals from the Ras Al-basset coast and one from Jablehcoast, at depths ranging
from 40-130m, the required morphometric were done.mantle lengths has ranged from 36.6
to 50.3 cm and 12,1-19cm widethe, fin is in the size of 17,3-23,3cm,and 14,3- 16 cm wide,
the proliferative arm is in the range size of 46.5 to 73 cm long. the individuals weights
vary between 2555,80-3954g. Anatomy of the samples was performed also. The gonad
vary between 20,6-41,12g, and the digestive gland weight ranged between 86,68-102,25g,
has been observed all of the three individual were females..
This work was designed to investigate the effect of temperature of frozen storage and
its duration on some chemical properties (Protein, Ash, Moisture,Lipid) of fishes Rabbit
fish (Siganus rivulatus). The fishes were subjected (from one weak to 150 day) of frozen
storage at two different degrees of low temperatures (-18 C,-24 C).
The aim of the study was mainly to investigate the structure
of the macrobenthic invertebrate communities in Syrian deep
seawater. Few data are available for habitats and benthic fauna in
thissensitive environment, which threaten by fishing practices,
pollutants and climate change.
