considering the importance of temperature and time factors in maturation and conversion the organic materials ,and the facts, that the sum of the effects of these factors is effected by the sedimentary burial history and changes with the changing of the kerogen types, and for consummation the aim of this study in isolating the Siluric and upper Paleozoic rock formations in which temperature and time had allowed to their included organic material to realise its potential in conversion to hydrocarbonic materials, paleotictonic and geotemperature diagrams for these formations were drawn depending on real data from 12 selected drilled wells in the study area, then the values of timetemperature Arrhenius index and the percent of the realised potential in conversion to hydrocarbonic materials were calculated for each main kerogen type (Ia,b,c, II,a,b,c,d, III) which may undergo to the same time-temperature history of the studied formations.

Climate change is the major global challenge facing water resources managers because of its impacts on many life fields beginning with agriculture activities to economic - social regions. In this study, drought in the eastern north of Syria have be en investigated (Hasake, Rakka, DerAzzor, Bokmal, Kameshli) using a set of data containing precipitation data for period from 2000 to 2010, and MODIS time series images for the same period. This study assure that 2008/2009 described as drought period in the study area, and the NDVI maps ,which we have, give us an idea about the vegetation status and patterns in the study area. The study clearly show that NDVI and rainfall was found to be highly correlated in Rakka with P- Value= 0.003; and medium correlated in the other stations with P- Value > 0.05. Results of this study verify needing to use this index (NDVI), along with precipitation data, in drought monitoring in the eastern north region of Syria. So that,. It would help managers in making decisions to face drought in this area.
The reasearch was carried out during 2009 – 2010 in Al – Hasaka – Amoda - to study the effect of cattle manure at the rat of 30 ton / ha , and four organic green manure ( Lentil, Vetch, Faba bean and Barely) on soil content of organic matter and so me mineral elements compared with chemical fertilizer 400 kg / ha urea , 83 kg / ha P2O5 and 25 kg / ha K2O . The manure significantly increased organic matter , phosphorus and potassium concentrations compared with other fertilizers ( chemical and green fertilizers ) . All green fertilizers ( Lentil , Vetch , Faba bean and Barely ) significantly increased organic matter , nitrogen and potassium concentration compared with the control without using any fertilizer , the tillage depth ( 0 – 10 ) cm significantly increased soil content of organic matter and nitrogen compared with deeper tillage ( 25 – 30 ) cm during the two seasons .
The aim of this study is to use the measured values of the magnetic susceptibility in the classification of the basaltic rocks and their different differentiation degrees as an additional discrimination factor to the geochemical analyses, which we re applied on the basalts of southern and southeastern Syria. So the magnetic susceptibility of ٢٠٤ specimens sampled from all the ٧ basaltic groups in Qasr Shbeeka area in addition to ٦٢ specimens sampled from three groups from outside the studied area were measured. This led to the determination of all the magnetic susceptibility ranges, their mean values and their standard deviation of the basaltic rocks in the area.
This experiment was conducted at two ecologically different regions, Boka, and Gellien, using 3 lines of X.triticosecale Wittmack (372, C.187, and C.G.2) and 6 cultivars of wheat (5 of them were triticum durum Cham1, Cham3, Cham5, Bohoth5, and Hau rani, and one of triticum aestivum Cham6), to assess the changes in water content and dry matter in the grains during the period from anthesis to physiological maturity .The results showed that all genotypes had the same moisture content curves, whereas it had seemed that the two durum wheat cultivars (Cham1 and Bohoth5) exhibited a disturbance in the moisture development curves in the first region, and the same observation was noticed on (Cham1, Cham3, and Cham5) in the second region. However, triticale lines had a higher test weight of 1000 grain compared with wheat cultivars in the two regions, and there was a positive relationship between grain fill duration and the weight of 1000 grain, whereas, there was a depression in the test weight of wheat cultivars in the second region in comparison with the first one, but it is associated with an increase of protein percentage, and this might be attributed to temperature elevation during grain fill stage.
The importance of this study is focused on evaluating the quality of pollutants that are dumped into the sewers associated with the analysis laboratories and the various clinics located in the scientific centers of the University of Aleppo.
