Epilepsy is a chronic neurological disorder that occurs in the brain، and affects approximately 2% of people around the world، where epilepsy patients face a lot of difficulties in everyday life due to the occurrence of seizures. Electroencephalogram (EEG) is used in the automated detection of epileptic seizures، which has Characteristics of non-linear and non-stationary. In this research، we conducted automated detection of the seizures from the scalp EEG signals using a Level 5 Discrete Wavelet Transforms DWT to analyze the signal and extracting statistical features (maximum، minimum، mean، average ، standard deviation، the ratio between the mean values) and Categorizing using artificial neural networks ANN for classification. The suggested detection method has 89.85% detection accuracy with 90.60% sensitivity ، and 89.1% specificity.

In this paper, we propose a new method to embed digital watermarking in audio files, using Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT) and the way to extract the watermark data. The method efficiency is measured using Peak Signal –to-Noise Ratio (PSNR) , No rmalized Correlation Coefficient (NC). The advantage of our method is the robustness against several attacks and compression.
A digital watermark is a signal that is embedded into digital data (text, image, audio, video) in a manner that allows it to be extracted later. This is done by embedding a pattern which contains the author's data into the digital data. In this r esearch, we propose a comparison between three types of transformations for embedding a watermark in the frequency domain into digital images in an efficient and secure method that allows the watermarking any type of digital images with good perceptibility.
A new face detection system is presented. The system combines several techniques for face detection to achieve better detection rates, a skin colormodel based on RGB color space is built and used to detect skin regions. The detected skin regions are the face candidate regions. Neural network is used and trained with training set of faces and non-faces that projected into subspace by principal component analysis technique. we have added two modifications for the classical use of neural networks in face detection. First, the neural network tests only the face candidate regions for faces, so the search space is reduced. Second, the window size used by the neural network in scanning the input image is adaptive and depends on the size of the face candidate region. This enables the face detection system to detect faces with any size.
Objective: Febrile seizures are the most common seizures in children less than 5 years(2-5%),and the risk of its recurrence is 50%(>1year),30%(<1year).We focused on the effect and safety of the prophylaxis treatment of recurrent FS beacuase it is a terrifying case for the parents. Materials&Methods:This is a trial study on 40 patient with FS.Clonazepam was recommended 0.05mg/kg/d then anti e when fever exceed 38°.We did follow up every 3 month during one year. Results:we followed 35 patient, familial history of FS found in 57.1%,a history of epilepsy in 28.57%.clonazepam side effects were supportable the most common was lawson 14.28%,the efficacy of the treatment we didn’t noticed any episode of FS during the study 97.1%. Conclusion: Clonazepam is a safe and effective and easy treatement for the parents for the prophylaxis of FS recurrence.
The entry of computer to many areas, such as medical field, led to develop new technique that has led to the prosperity of these areas, and helped doctors to detect and diagnose diseases accurately and credibility, where the experience of the docto r in addition to the accuracy of computer lead to access to the credibility of high patient and save human lives. A new approach for cardiac diseases detection and classification in ECG signals images is proposed using Adaptive Neuro Fuzzy Inference System ANFIS. The proposed approach is applied on database containing (147) ECG images, each of them accompanied with its medical report. The medical reports were used to validate the detection and classification. The proposed method achieved a relatively high accuracy (97%) in detection and classification processes. The proposed approach is developed using MATLAB, and based on its libraries, image processing, neural network and fuzzy logic.
