This study aims toassesst patient’s satisfaction with partial dentures fixed by two different extracoronal attachments in the mandibular of cases Kennedy class II . It used a sample consisting of 10 patients have lost bilateral in the mandibular were prepared two abutments (first and second premolar ) and compensation as follows : the right side of the patient by rigid attachment type MKI and the left side by resilient attachment type ASC 52 , then to assess patient’s satisfaction for each of the two types of attachments was conducted after a month and 6 months on the use of dentures using by scale 0 5 (0 = excellent ,1 = very good, 2 = good, 3 = middle , 4 = bad, 5 = very bad) , so that the assessment in terms : general satisfaction included (aesthetics, speech and retention ), comfort , the ability to chew ,easy removal denture , deposition foods under the removable part . The results showed , no difference statistically significant between tow attachments in terms of general satisfaction included (aesthetics, speech and retention) ,comfort , the ability to chew ,easy removal denture after one month and 6 months to use the dentures while showing difference statistically significant between tow attachments after one month and 6 months to use the dentures , when the level significance p< 0.05 .

The initial retention of implant-supported removable partial dentures(ISRPD) is unknown. the purpose of this in vitro study was to compare maximum dislodging forces of distal extension mandibular ISRPD with three different clasp design. a stimulat ed class 1 partially edentulous mandible was prepared with two implant in the first molar regions and two metal ceramic on distal abutments. Fifteen bilateral distal extension frameworks was fabricated with three different clasp design (Akers, I bar clasp ,no clasp),each specimen was subjected to three type of retention pulls ( main ,unilateral ,posterior pulls) five time with universal testing machine.
Since early Orthodontics, one of the main concerns is to correct Skeletal Class II. For this Purpose they designed different functional appliances, and performed many cephalometric studies to evaluate treatment results for these appliances on dent ofacial complex. Our clinical experience, show the ability of treatment of preadolescents by advancement the mandible in skeletal class II correction with Sliding Plates. and for this purpose, lateral cephalometric study was performed to evaluate treatment results at dentofacial complex. 19 preadolescents ages 11-14 years with skeletal class II and mandibular retrognathism Sliding Plates consist of two separated removable parts, the upper one has midpalatal expansion and vertical wire, the lower is provided with anterior bite plane. The plates were used for 6-12 months. Lateral cephalograms were taken before treatment and immediately after treatment. The results after treatment were compared with the pretreatment measurements before treatment. After treatment, advancement of the mandible and the parts of TMJ has been observed. Thus, the use of sliding plates are useful to correct skeletal class II with mandibular retrognathism, especially in cases associated with narrow upper dental arch for children their ages do not permit the use of pre-functional preparation, and additionally, in cases that require functional rehabilitations.
Distalizition of the upper first Molar is a common treatment modality and very important method to correct Distal Malocclusion, or to create Spaces in the upper arch. The Distal Jet has recently been proposed to distalize maxillary molars in Class II cases with no need for patient cooperation.
It is necessary when designing removable partial dentures to be fixed, stable and well supported for improving patient comfort, and decreasing damages on soft tissues and dental abutments, the alveolar ridge has a strong influence in planning for treatment and interpretations biomechanical when treated with removable partial dentures, and have four shapes in the sagittal plane which are horizontal shape, concave shape, distal ascending shape and descending shape.
The purpose of this study was to evaluate the reliability of a single malleable noncommpression titanium miniplate in fixation and stability of fractures of the mandibular angle using two approaches(.transbuccal and intra-oral approach, or intra-or ally alone) . The research sample included 20 patients from patients who attended AL Assad University Hospital with Unilateral or bilateralun-comminuted mandibular angle fractures in the period between September 2011 and October 2013. The research sample was divided into two groups depending on the two approaches that have been used . Adequacy of the reduction and stability of fixation were evaluated through Radiographic examinations immediately after surgery. Postoperative assessment was based on clinical examination after 1 month, 6 monthes and a year to evaluate: Occlusion, Masticatory efficiency, Maximum mouth opening range, and Other complications(infection –mini-plate exposure). The results of the present study showed that there were statistical difference between the two approaches(transbuccal and intra-oral approach, or intra-orally alone) regarding Occlusion, Masticatory efficiency and Other complications after 1 and 6 months while there was no statistical difference between the approaches after 1 year . we Concluded that using the combined transbuccal/oral approach was the best regarding(infection and mini-plate exposure) and compared with intra-oral approach .
