Recently, the methods and theories of the structural and technicalevaluation for cracked buildings have been developed because of different reasons (Natural disasters, wars, the oldness… etc.) That was due to urgent need for right evaluation proces s, understand the structural and function status of the building and make the right decision. The research includes the clarification of the importance of building structural evaluation in addition to the basis and criteria of cracked buildings classification regarding their structural and technical status. The structural and technical evaluation for concrete building is considered as nonrepetitive unique process, which has its particularity due to its link with large group of indicators ( concrete natural and structure- structural system - the natural and intensity of failures and cracks …etc.) Therefore, the evaluation process based on groups of measurements, tests and views. The personal experience of the engineer has an important role at evaluation process. The research includes the preparation of scientific methodology to evolution process and designing structural and technical evaluation software to evaluate cracked buildings and limit the personal and mood role of the engineer during evaluation process. In addition to that, the software will include applications from the real situations.
The Seismic design for nuclear facilities has been subject of complex analysis of the type usually performed for nuclear power plants. For the purpose of ensuring seismic safety for nuclear facilities with limited radioactive inventory, a simplifi ed approach was adopted by the IAEA safety guides with emphasis on appropriate construction and detailing principles rather than sophisticated dynamic analysis. This work presents the equivalent static approach, with an application for a frame element, a dynamic analysis is also achieved using a computer program (DRAIN – 2DX) with real (time – history earthquake) for the purpose of comparison, the results lead to some observations and notes which have to be taken into account for the seismic safety design.
The study aimed at evaluating the success of Tartos Port Container Terminal investing by the private sector in promoting its operational and financial performance. The study analyzed the operational and financial indicators for the Container Terminal before and after the entrance of the private sector. The period of the study started from 2004 until 2010 by considering 2007 an intermediate year. The study used the appropriate statistical methods such as t- test and Mann Whitney Test for comparing the performance of the terminal before and after the entrance of the private sector. The study found significant improvement of operational and liquidity indicators and significant decrease of leverage and profitability indicators, and some notable recommendations were the necessary of doing some reforms on the public sector companies which can increase the flexibility and the speed of the decisions making process, and the possibility of relying on privatization and public private partnership to fix some public sector enterprises that became unable to compete with the private sector.
يهدف البحث إلى تعرف واقع الرقابة على الجودة في شركات القطاع العام الصناعي، و لما كان واقع هذا القطاع يواجه عدداً من القضايا و الصعوبات و خاصة ما ينعكس منها على مستوى جودة المنتج و تنافسيته، فإن هذا البحث يعد إسهاماً علمياً لحل هذا القصور بما يعزز دور القطاع العام، و تحسين أدائه.
The equipment of reinforced concrete by using native materials (cement-aggregates-steel) in ideal conditions help us producing concrete that consummate the Syrian Arab Code conditions, but these are not found in Engineering Structure workshop that have affection of characters used materials in one hand, and these behavior in the common work with steel –Structural behavior of Engineering member espial in serviceability stage, that may be expose accepted limits in other hand . So it is necessary to correct the Syrian Arab Code's formulas of deformation and finding suitable mathematical factors and formulas that insure structural safety for reinforced concrete members under bending moment that casted in structure workshop circumstances in Syrian Arab Republic.
