Biodiversity of wild relatives of Cataegus were studied in North-West region of Damascus countryside located between latitudes 33.36 -33.58 N and longitudes 35.58-36.39 E including 7 sites and 21 subsites ranging from Zabadane to Alnabk. Results showed that the most of the individuals in the search area belonging to C. azarolus and var. aronia and rare individuals ere found to belong to C. monogyna. The study on the level of intraspecific variability showed the presence of of three taxanomic groups, each had been characterized with morphological and environmental qualities. The study also pointed to the where of these species and their different types are located and to the exist of corrlation between environmental factors and morphological variables.

The Studay was aimed at surveying the plant species growing in Al Qunaitera region, their dynamic distribution, environmental characteristics and economic values. Atotale number of 268 species were found belonging to 170 genera at 46 families. Only two of the founded species weren’t reported by Mouterde in his flora of Syria.
Al- sheikh Bader is a small region , its land doesn’t exceed 20000 hectares , which has a significant variation in the topography .The results of this study in this region showed a variation in the vegetation of biodiversity within three scales of sea level.
Using different alternative materials in concrete mix, and expanding the area of using these materials, is considered very important from scientific, economic, and environmental point of view. Especially the diversity in number of used aggregates. As a result, reduction in the cost of transportation saving the environment, and improving the properties of concrete mix may occur Basalt lava, and volcanic cines are widely present in Syria, but using lava is limited because the studies about Syrian basalt were not enough. The lack of proper mills or crushers to grind basalt to be good to prepare concrete mix. As a result, the investment of using Syrian basalt in preparing concrete mix was very limited. Investigating, and classifying the basalt quarries, is needed to find out if the Syrian basalt is convenient to prepare concrete mix, or bitumen mix. The purpose of this research in to use the natural resources in different Syrian areas in better engineering, environmental, and economical ways through the improvement of engineering sides, increasing the capability of concrete structures, better investment of quarries in Syria, and to get more economical benefit with minimum cost. In this research, an experimental study was achieved to evaluate the basalt in north Syria according to international standards and codes. The composition of basalt Ore was determined by petrogrphic study, with focus on the content of olivine in basalt, and the degree of deterioration.
The cherry fruit is classified to be after the apple fruit according to its economic importance and the cherry tree is firstly considered economically important due to its continuous and plentiful bearing if it’s provided with all requirements and techniques for the suitable agriculture and its needs from irritation and fertilizer are medium. The aim of the research was to study the costs of production cherry with a comparison between some economic indicators for each of the cherry rainfed and irrigated cherry. Results showed that the cost of one hectare from irrigated cherry was higher by about 3 times than the cost of one hectare of rainfed due to the raise in the cost of irrigation. The study also showed that the profits of the irrigated profits exceeded that of the rainfed cherry by about 2 times since the productivity of the irrigated hectare is two folds more than the productivity of the rainfed hectare. It was also shown that the effect of variable time on the space was positive, changes in the spaces resulting from the effect of time was 95%, while the effect of time on both the production and the yield was negative. The relationship between time and all of the production and yields was weak (8%).
Cherry trees are considered one of the important fruit trees because of their economic, nutritional and health value. Cherry comes after apples in terms of economic importance in Syria. It is planted in two ways: watering and raining.
