This study was conducted on predator Coccinella septempunctata at laboratory conditions , under average of temperature 20± 2Cº. Results confirmed: Average of life cycle time was :27.3±4.1 days ( egg development time 6.5±0.5 , larvae 13.2±0.5 , pupa 7.5±0.5 days). Also the study of predation efficiency showed that the average number of aphids consumed by each of the four instars larvae were (57.9±10.6 , 63.7±9.4 , 66.5±8.3 , and 348±43.4) respectively. Therefore the fourth larva instar seemed more predation efficiency, as compared to other three instars ,it consumed double that the three instars consumed, but adult consumed 121±4.5 number of aphids in one day.

The ladybird predatos (Coccinella septempunctata L.) was bred by the cross mating method, which is followed in all international bio – control centers, to be transformed from the natural local strain into laborators one, which enable continous pro duction and collection of predator groups without affecting the numerical measurements of the most relevant morphological parameters, such as insect's body length, and the biological traits, such as fertility, predators efficacy multiplication, longivity, metamorphesis duration, and sex ratio.
A study for tribe Coccinellini (Coccinellidae, Coeloptera) was conducted in south of Syria. The objective of this study was to determine the species and their relative abundance. Members of this tribe important for biological control because they are primariy predators on aphids. The adults Coccinellids were collected from agriclture and natural ecosystems from August 2001 the end of July 2003. The results revealed the presence of 10 species belonging to 8 genera. The investigation included their abundance and distribution in south of Syria. The species Anisosticta novemdecimpunctata (L.) was recorded in Syria for the first time. The Adonis ladybird, Hippodamia (Adonia) variegata (Goeze), was the commonest species. and the most abundant ones were H. variegata (Goeze) 44.9%, Oenopia conglobata (L.) 27.7% and Coccinella septempunctata L. 10.5%.
The functional and numerical response of Aphidoletes aphidimyza feeding on different densities of third instar nymphs of cotton aphid Aphisg ossypii on cucumber leaves was studied in laboratory at a temperature (25 ± 2 ° C) and relative humidity of 70 %. The predator consumed 2.8 ± 0.64 nymph/day, when prey density was 5 adults. The predator consumption increased with increasing prey density. At 60 and 80 preys the predator consumed 34.2 ± 5.36 and 36.4 ± 5.72 nymph /Day consequintly. Ther was a very high significant correlation (r = 0.93) between the number of prey consumed and the density of prey, So according Holling (1959) model of functional response, we put A. aphidimyza predator under the third type (type III). The increase of prey density caused increasing in egg numbers of predator The predator laid eggs in few numbers 19 ± 4.0 eggs / female when fed on 5 prey /day, and these numbers of eggs laid by predator increased to 28.6 ± 4.48 egg/female under prey density of 10 prey /day. the increase of eggs numbers reached to 63.4 ± 6.48 egg/female when prey density was 80 prey/day so we noticed the predator oviposition increased with high prey density, and these increase caused by increase in predation efficiency and these lead to another kind of response called numerical response.
A survey of the natural enemies of woolly apple aphid Eriosoma lanigerum (Hausm.) was conducted in unsprayed orchards in the mountain region of Sweida, Syria. Twenty-six species were found, belonging to Coleoptera, Dermaptera, Diptera, Heteroptera , Neuroptera. Coccinella septempunctata L. was the most abundant predator at the beginning of the season. The coccinellid Oenopia conglobata (L.) occurred in less numbers and had a secondary importance. Predatory bugs had a high activity in summer. Also, the aphelinid parasite, Aphelinus mali (Haldeman), was observed with a high effectiveness at late summer and at the end of the growing season.
This research was carried out in the " Research and study center of Biological control "- faculty of agriculture, university of Damascus , during 2012-2015 . The aim was to study the predation, developmental time ,
