In this study : 30 patients with metastatic prostate cancer who admitted to the department of Oncology, Tishreen University Hospital, Lattakia, Syria between 2013 and 2014 were grouped according to gleason score , age and body mass index. All patient received treatment with LHRH agonist (goserelin 3,6 mg subcutaneous injection monthly) combined with anti-androgen for two weeks. PSA and testosterone were measured in all patients before treatment then after 1 and after 6 month and the side effects were documented. Results post ADH treatment: There is no relationship between body mass index and testosterone level. Hormonal treatment with LHRH agonist reduced testosterone to 50 ng/dl in 09% of the patients, whereas 76%of the cases achieved testosterone levels 20ng/dl. The most common treatment-related adverse event was depression 72% , hot flash %33 and headache 30%.

Studies demonstrated a prognostic role for postoperative CA 19-9 in patients with resectable pancreatic carcinoma following surgery. Our study aimed to investigate whether CA 19-9 provided similar prognostic information in patients with advanced unre sectable pancreatic cancer treated with chemotherapy and to determine whether such endpoints should therefore be reported in future randomized trials. Between Mars 2014 and December 2015, 36 patients ( median age 57 years, range 38-80 years, 9 females, 27 males ) with locally advanced or metastatic pancreatic adenocarcinoma and a baseline Karnofsky-index more than 60 were treated with chemotherapy . Only patients with a bilirubin of less than 2 mg/dL at the time the CA 19-9 was evaluated were included in the analysis to avoid the confounding effect of hyperbilirubinemia. Only patients with basal high CA19-9 were included in the analysis. Survival was measured from the date of first post CRT CA 19-9 level until death or last follow-up. Patients with a decrease of20 < % of the baseline CA19-9 level after 8 weeks of treatment (n=25) had a significantly better median survival than patients with a rise or a decrease < 20% (n-11) (6.98 vs4.68 months; p=0.007). Age and basal CA19-9 did not show significant or a trend for significant differences regarding survival by univariate analysis (P=0.987, p=0.878 respectively). Females had a significantly better median survival than males (7.83 vs 5.75 months, P=0.023).
Lung cancer is the major cause of cancer death. S100A7 overexpression has been associated with early stages of carcinomas . This study aimed to evaluate the levels of serum S100A7 in lung cancer. Our study contains 63 patients of lung cancer (46 newly diagnosis patients, 11 treated patients, 6 recurrence patients) and 15 healthy volunteers
The study included 1,800 patients who were admitted in the following departments (surgery, internal and gynecology department) at AL- ASSAD University Hospital in Lattakia in 2011-2012 from the age of 40 years and above. The study, which was based on a built-in statistical form of risk factors for breast cancer, showed that the percentage of the infected was 9,8%. All risk factors including ageing ,obesity, lack or absence of birth, late age at first childbirth, early puberty, late menopause, hormonal treatment, injuring a first degree relative, staying in cities and the size of bras increase the risk of breast cancer and the impact is worth respectively: 0,115-0,387-0,178-0,157-0,143-0,217-0,15-0,030-0,092-0,244-0,212.
A study was done about bleeding in first trimester of pregnancy including 816 patients from 3104 pregnant women(26.28 %) . The causes was abortion ( %96.07), ectopic pregnancy (%2.69) and hyditidiform mole (%1.22). In patients with abortion 486 p atients suffered from pain with bleeding(%61.09) and when happeded together the rate of complete abortion elevated . (%78.18) had early abortion whereas(%21.81) had late abortion. The most common high risk factors in patients with abortion were poor and low level of life also the age -35 40 years old(%47.44). The tubal ectopic pregnancy was the most common and the privious pelvic operation is one of the most important high risk factors for ectopic pregnancy. All patients with ectopic pregnancy had amenorrhea with low or no changes in β- HCG levels and (%86.36) had abdominal pain with changes and pain in the cervixs. 16 patients (%72.72) needed surgical therapy.
