This study is carried out to determine phytic acid in some local vegetables and fruits, before and after ripening (apples, peaches, pean, tomato), green and dried legumes (beans, chickpea, lentil, peas, soybean, maize ….), and oil seeds (peanut, sesa mi, ……) and cereals and their products (grain, barley, oats, rice, bread kinds, bran, borghol) that are consumed in Latakia city. Most of the products contain high levels of phytic acid, especially in green products and their derivatives; the values range between (0.1-3.57 %) and (0-1.95 %) on dry bases respectively.
The search has been performed on blood samples from cows with different ages and various multi-productive purposes from a number of farms to detect sera-prevalence percentage of brucella abortus infection in cows using Competitive Enzyme Linked I mmune Sorbent Assay. The test results have shown general serum spread by the percentage 5882%. The rate of antibodies of serum spread in the cows in different farms under study have been between 0.00% and 16.66%.
Species of the genus Campylobacterare recognized as the main cause of foodborne disease in both developing and developed countries. They are main causative of diarrhea and gastroenteritis worldwide. Staphylococcus bacteria especially S. aureus are re sponsible of food poisoning due to their ability to produce enterotoxins. Traditional methods which are used to identify bacteria are time-consuming and labor intensive and very expensive. Thirteen isolates of Campylobacter and twenty-two isolates of Staphylococcus were isolated from a variety of foods. Traditional methods based on biochemical tests were used for identification in addition to laser light-scattering technique to discriminate isolates. Laser light-scattering technique showed the ability to distinguish all isolate in high accuracy, rapid and low costs manner, thus it may represent a potential alternative to traditional methods to identify these bacteria. So it is a very important issue to find new alternative methods characterized by high accuracy, low costs and rapidity in results achievement, to replace traditional methods, thus laser light-scattering may be a possible alternative
The dynamic clustering-based hierarchical routing protocols are one of the methods used to save energy and increase the lifetime of wireless sensor networks, however, that most of the researches are neglecting the energy expended in election of the heads and formation of clusters in the network. In this paper, we examine the overhead energy caused by hierarchical routing protocols based on dynamic clustering and study its impact on the stability period of the wireless sensor networks. Also, we proposed a solution to limit this energy by reducing the consumed energy in election of heads and clusters formation operations. It is shown through the simulation results that the energy consumed in LEACH setup phase decreases the stability period of these networks and increases the number of dead nodes. And the use of the proposed solution reduced the energy consumption during the election of the heads and the formation of clusters clearly compared to the normal way followed in LEACH, which has increased stability period and the number of live nodes in the network.
A sensitive, simple and selective spectrofluorimetric method has been proposed for determination Captopril (CPT) in pure form and pharmaceutical preparations. This method depends on the formation of complex between Captopril and Copper (II) at pH=3.5.
