This research was performed to study the effect of sewage water on the surface water of the Addelbeh Valley stream, and groundwater on both sides of the stream in Tartous Cement Factory area. Water samples were taken from the factory water outlet and Addelbeh Valley water to study the content of pollutants. We also took groundwater samples from selected wells on both sides of the waterway in the studied area. We repeated that process every two months for a full hydrological cycle from July 2013 to May 2014. We found a great increase in content of the industrial drainage water include oils and heavy metals especially iron, copper and zinc. For example: iron concentration in sewage water exceeded 150 mg/l in all samples. Besides sewage water and stream water contained high concentrations of ammonia and nitrite versus low concentration of nitrate, unlike water wells samples. The study revealed increased EC and salts concentration markedly in wells water due to its adjacency to the sea.

The study aims to identify the effect of Physical and moral incentives which provided to employees in the Cement's factory in Tartous on their satisfaction on their work, and to shed some light on the incentive systems applied to employees in that sector.
The research mainaim is Mapping of Groundwater Vulnerability to Contamination Using (PI) Method toevaluatethe study area (Marqieh and Alhousen watershed ) in Tartous governorate. The area of study forms a part of the coast basin, on the east coast of the Mediterranean Sea, located north of the Tartous governorate between , 34 5000,35 1000latitude in the north of the equator, and , 35 5000,36 2000 longitude in the east of the Greenwicharea covers about 700 Km2. The PI method is a GIS-based approach(We use ARCGIS .10 and the tool : Spatial Analyst Tools) , and gives special methodological tools for karstic aquifer , geological conditions , climate , relief , land use , all these conditions are mapped separately as individual maps and then integrated to achieve the groundwater vulnerability map. all the maps related to the study area was created in digital form and apply analysis processes to create vulnerability map which is a map divided to the fields and every field represents the possibility of contamination of groundwater in this region, whether high or low . The results obtainedfrom this study indicate that about 41% of the study area is under high groundwater vulnerability, 59% is under moderate, low and very low vulnerability.
Orange fruits contain many materials such as oils in seeds which have biological and nutritional values, due to that, physical and chemical properties of orange seed oil (OSO) have been determined, which extracted from two samples collected from two areas (Al-ssisanyah and Al-jma'ashyah) which are different in environmental factors.
The recent synthesis of the new polymers has been profoundly affected by the unique characteristics of Dimer Acid. These polymers were made up following the condensation with triethanolamine when was treated in melted phase. We performed identifi cation of the physical characteristics of the polymers such as the molecular weight, in addition to the acid value and hydroxyl value. Infrared spectroscopy have been used in identification of this polymer. Also, the rheological behavior has been assessed thermally and shearing stress by using capillary viscometer. Our results revealed a reduction in the viscosity with increase of the shearing stress as will as with rise in the temperature.
The effect of clay soil treatment with two levels of tobacco west compost and organic fertilizer (15 and 30 ton/ h), in addition to mineral fertilizer treatment, with three replicates of each treatment on some physical properties (Aggregate size di stribution, main weight diameter, bulk density and porosity) and chemical properties (Organic carbon, humic and volvic acid and humification index for big and small soil aggregates was studied. The results showed that tobacco west compost and organic fertilizer were effective in increment of soil content of organic carbon, which reached (20 and 26%) for organic fertilizer, and (39 and 45%) for compost compared to the control, conducing to ameliorate soil physical properties, where The main weight diameter, stable aggregate rate and soil porosity were increased. Whereas, bulk density decreased significantly in both treatments compared to the control. Compost treatment affect soil physical properties more than organic fertilizer.Mineral fertilizer decreased soil content of organic carbon compared to the control. Humic and volvic acids contents were between 2.12 and 74.3 mg/kg aggregates in the control, and compost treatments alternatively in macro aggregates (> 2mm). Wile, volvic acid values were between 0.93 mg/kg in control for small aggregates (< 0.25), and 3.17 mg/kg aggregates in mineral fertilizer treatment for (0.25 – 2) aggregates. Humification index values were less than 2 in macro aggregates, while it was bigger than 2 in small aggregates.
