The specimen consists of 72 extracted teeth with curved roots (15-35)degree . They were cleaned and preserved in formalin for 48 hours. Each tooth was mounted in a self curing acrylic block. The samples were divided into three groups. Each group (24 canals) was instrumented with one of the systems (WaveOne, Reciproc, OneShape).

Aim: to compare the shaping ability of two rotary systems (Protaper Universal and Protaper Next) and K-file hand instruments in curved root canals of extracted human molars. Materials and methods:Thirty extracted molars with curved canals were cho sen. The curvature of root canals was determined (15-40o) then the sample was randomly divided into three groups: n1=n2=n3=10. Group(1): was prepared using K-file hand instruments (Stand), group(2): prepared by Protaper Universal (PTU), whereas group3: prepared by Protaper Next (PTN).The curvature after preparation and Time preparationwere evaluated. Data were collected and statistical analysis was conducted. Results: The three instrument systems (PTU, PTN, Stand) have caused significant change in original canal curvature(P<0.05). On the other hand, there were no significant differences between systemsin straightening of canal curvature (P>0.05). However, both systems: PTN, Stand were significantly faster than PTU during preparation of curved canals (P<0,001).Conclusion: under the conditions of this study, it can be concluded thatall instruments caused changing in original canal curvature. However, the new generation PTN was faster than old one PTU.
Aim: to compare the shaping ability of NiTi hand instruments with Stainless- steel instruments in preparation of curved root canal in extracted teeth. Materials and Methods: a total of 24 of curved root canal were randomly divided into two groups. O ne group was prepared using stainless steel instruments and the other prepared NiTi instruments. Curvatures pre-and post instrumentation were registered and compared. And straightening of the canals were determined by autocad analysis system. Results: two systems were significantly changed the original canal curvature with no differences between both systems. However, the time required to finish preparation was significantly less with NiTi system. Conclusion: under the conditions of this study, it can be concluded that two hand instrumentation system changed the original canal curvature, but the time consuming to finish the preparation was less with NiTi hand system.
Ultrasonic Tips is considered one of the common tool used in the management of separated instruments in the root canal, . , this research aimed to evaluate the temperature rise of the outer surface of the root when using ultrasonic tips to remove separated instruments from mesiobuccal canal of the lower molars.
Aim of study: to compare the ability of four restorative materials (MTA - Composite - Zinc Phosphate - Glass Ionomer Cement) in coronal sealing of the endodontically treated root canal orifice in extracted teeth. Materials and Methods: 60 extracte d teeth with single canal were chosen. X-Ray Images were taken, then their crowns were cut off by using diamond disc, then the canals were classically prepared, after that, they were filled with Zinc Oxide Eugenol Cement and the gutta-percha cones using Lateral Condensation technique. They were left for (24) hours in order to ensure the quite hardening of the filling material. After that, the filling material was removed vertically by using an eraser tool up to a depth of (2) mm inside the root canal. Then, the teeth were randomly divided into four groups, each contained (15) teeth (n1=n2=n3=n4=15). The entry orifices of all the teeth were filled with one of the restorative materials. The teeth were coated with Varnish except for 1 mm around orifices, After then, they were immersed in Methylene Blue Dye of 2 % for five minutes. After that, the teeth were washed under a stream of plentiful water and left to dry. Longitudinal sections were made in the buccal lingual direction. Then the sections were examined under the optical magnifier to measure the liner dye leakage using a millimeter ruler designed by “AutoCAD 2013” Program.
Aim: to compare the apical sealing ability of three root canal sealers in human extracted teeth using dye penetration. Materials and Methods: thirty extracted human maxillary teeth were instrumented 1mm short of the anatomical apex and randomly as signed to three groups (n=10), according to the root canal sealer used for obturation. The teeth were divided into three experimental groups and obturated by cold lateral compaction of gutta-percha and one of the following sealers: group I, Zinc oxide and Eugenol sealer; group II, Adseal; group III, Apexit plus. The teeth were covered with nail varnish to within 2-3mm of the apical foramen and immersed in 2% methylene blue for 24 hours. After this period, the teeth were washed and cut longitudinally for apical leakage measurement inside the canal. Results: Statistical evaluation of the results showed no significant difference in the leakage between Adseal and Apexit plus (P =0.99). Leakage with ZOE was significantly lesser than Adseal (P=0.004) andApexit Plus (P=0.003). Conclusions:under the condition of this study, it can be concluded that ZOE presents lower apical leakage than Adseal and Apexit plus, and there was no significant difference in leakage between Adseal and Apexit plus.
