تهدف هذه الدراسة الوصفية إلى معرفة "واقع المتفوقين في ثانويات اللاذقية و العوامل التي أدت إلى تفوقهم", و تحديد دور بعض العوامل الاجتماعية التعليمية, و الأسرية, و الاقتصادية كمتغيرات مستقلة, و التحصيل الدراسي كمتغير تابع. حيث استخدم الباحث في هذه الدراسة الميدانية منهج المسح الاجتماعي, لجمع البيانات المرتبطة بكل متغير من متغيرات الدراسة بصورة شمولية عن طلاب المرحلة الثانوية بواسطة الاستبانة التي طبقت على عينة مكونة من 100 طالب و طالبة في مدرستي غسان حرفوش، و عز الدين الظرف بمدينة اللاذقية، حيث بينت السجلات المدرسية في المدرستين المذكورتين أعلاه أن 9% من الطلاب حصلوا على درجات 90% فما فوق في جميع المواد الدراسية (متفوقين)، و 35% من الطلاب حصلوا على مجموع من الدرجات ما بين 70 و 89 % (مستوى جيد)، و 43% من الطلبة العاديين الذين تراوحت درجاتهم ما بين 50 و 69 % من المجموع الكلي للدرجات، و بلغت نسبة الطلبة ذوي التحصيل الدراسي الضعيف 13%. من أهم النتائج التي توصلت إليها الدراسة: إن التفوق مرتبط بارتفاع المستوى التعليمي للأم و الأب، و بدخل الأسرة، و بطريقة قضاء وقت الفراغ . و تبين أن الإناث يتفوقن دراسياً على الذكور و لكن هذا التفوق ليس جوهرياً، و يؤثر حب المعلم في تفوق الطلبة. و بينت الدراسة أن وجود مكان مخصص لمذاكرة الدروس يسهم في تفوق الطالب. و لكن عدد أفراد الأسرة يؤثر سلباً في نسبة التفوق، و يعزى ذلك إلى قدرة الأسر قليلة العدد على تأمين متطلبات المتفوقين. و كان للعامل الوراثي دورا كبيرا في التفوق إذ إن معظم أسر المتفوقين تشمل أفراداً متفوقين دراسياً. و من العوامل الهامة، هو عدد ساعات الدراسة في اليوم، كونها تؤثر في نسبة المتفوقين دراسياً.
This descriptive research aims to explore the state of affairs of the top students in Lattakia high schools and the factors that led to their eminence. It also aims to identify the role of some socio-educational, familial, and economical factors (as independent variables), and educational achievement (as a dependent variable). The researcher followed social survey approach to collect data for each of the research's variables concerning top students from Ghassan Harfouche, and Ezz Al-deen schools in Lattakia. Data was collected by a questionnaire addressed to one hundred top students. School registers of the above mentioned schools showed that 9% , 35%, 43%, and 13% of students obtained 90% , 89-70%, 69-50%, and 13% of the total degree respectively in all disciplines. The research showed that eminence is related to the educational level of the parents, family income, and the way the students spend their free time. In addition, factors such as gender, and teacher appeal, and genetic factors affect educational achievement positively. However, large number of family members affect achievement negatively. Another factor that affects the student's achievement positively is the numerous studying hours per day.

The goal beyond this research is to highlight the influence of the social family
factors on the academic excellence of sons. This research sample was on (240) of (408)
male and female students who are in the first, second and the third secondary st
ages for the
school year 2016-2017. For reaching the intended goals of this research, a questionnaire
was adopted as a tool for collecting both the preliminary data and the data related to the
variables of this research. The results of the research assured that the number of the family
members does not have that clear effect on the academic excellence and most of the
students do not get negatively affected by the parental divorce or even by the absence of
one of the parents so this factor does not affect the sons' academic excellence. Also, the
birth order in any student's family does not affect positively or negatively the student's
academic excellence. The good and healthy relationship between the father and the sons
has a clear effect on their academic excellence but, on the other hand, the relationship
between the mother and the sons does not have that clear effect on their academic
excellence. Moreover, this research stated that there is a positive link between the parents'
moderate control and treatment practiced inside the family towards the sons and the sons'
academic excellence. On the other side, this research stated that there is no link between
the parents' dominating control and treatment towards the sons and the sons' academic
excellence.
This study aimstoinvistigatethepopularity of smoking habit among high school
students who were taken as a study sample. It also, determing the social factors and family
circvmistancy that cavseteenagrs to smoking, for that purpose we used the descr
iptive
analytical approach ,and the questionnaire was adopted (designed) as a tool to collect
information, and it was distributed on a sample of (100) student in a secondary school in
al-qutaifa city in damascus countryside. Resultsshow that the impact of social and family
factors on the tendency of secondary school students to smoke: to express their manhood,
to feel confidence, and non application the decision which prevent children and
adolescents from purchasing cigarettes.
The family factors inclvde : the imitation of the children to their parents and relatives
who smoke, more coquetry from parents to their children , in addition to that there are

School of the Future works at developing the whole personality of all students, facilitating knowledge for them and giving a chance for their creative abilities to appear, so the student becomes able to lifelong learning and continue to develop his knowledge and skills by using all methods of learning and educational technology. To achieve these aims , there should be a distinguished teacher who is able to think in a scientific organized way to face the social, cognitive, economical, educational, , and cultural challenges, as well as a manager who is able to face the social, economical, technological, educational and administrative challenges to lead the school with its all elements. So, the research aimed at identifying the challenges which face the managers and teachers of the general secondary education in the light of the school of the future. The research consisted of seven chapters. The first five chapters included the theoretical part while the sixth and seventh chapters included the procedures of the field study and its results.

The research aims to : Definition of the forms of parental treatment most commonly from the viewpoint of students and its relationship with some personal variables, and know significance of differences between the forms of parental treatment from the
viewpoint of outstanding students depending on the variables (sex - the educational level of the parents - the income level of the family - and the social status of the family arranged between members of the family) . The study relied on the curriculum (descriptive) due to its suitability to the nature of the current study and its objectives, the researcher used the questionnaire method as an essential tool for data collection, and the basis for the opinions and trends of the research sample where included (3) axes related forms of parental treatment and its impact on the performance of students as follows (democratic method Anarchist method authoritarian method). And applied research tool on a sample intended outstanding students (male and female) of secondary education, third grade secondary totaling (105) students (male and female)whose excelling academically rate (100%) of the original community (27) of them male rate (25.7%) of original society, and (78) of the female rate (74.3%) of the original society, where it was the selection of a sample of unintended outstanding students excelling in school being the only one in the city of Damascus .
