خلق النمو الاقتصادي, و التنافسية العالية ضغطاً كبيراً على شركات التشييد لتحسين إنتاجيتهم و أدائهم. و أجريت العديد من الدراسات حول قياس الأداء على مستوى المشروع, و مؤخراً ازداد الطلب و الحاجة لتقييم الأداء على مستوى الشركة. يهدف هذا البحث إلى تعيين مجموعة من مؤشرات الأداء الرئيسة KPIS, حيث تم إعداد قائمة بـ 20 مؤشراً محتملاً للأداء وفق BSC و ذلك من خلال إجراء تحليل كمي و نوعي و تم الحصول على المعلومات المطلوبة حول الأهمية النسبية للمؤشرات من خلال إجراء مقابلات مع ستة خبراء في صناعة التشييد لتحديد حجم الأهمية النسبية لكل مؤشر, على اعتبار أن العدد الكبير من مؤشرات الأداء يصعب قياسه و السيطرة عليه, و قد اعتمدنا في ذلك على طريقة التحليل الهرمي AHP لتحديد عدد أقل و أكثر فعالية من مؤشرات الأداء. و استخدم لتحليل مجموعة الإجابات برنامج خيار الخبير Expert Choice. و حصلنا بنتيجة ذلك على 9 مؤشرات هامة (مفتاحية), و التي يمكن أن تستخدم مباشرة كمؤشرات مفتاحية لقياس و تحديد أداء المشاريع أو كمؤشرات مفتاحية ضمن نظام متكامل لقياس و تتبع الأداء يساعد في تحسين أداء مشاريع التشييد في سورية.
Economic growth and high competition have put a strong pressure on construction companies to improve their productivity and performance. Many studies on performance measurement have been carried out at the project level. Recently, the demand for performance evaluation at the company level has increased. This paper aims to identify a set of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). A List of 20 potential performance indicators has been identified according to Balance Score Card (BSC) through a quantitative and qualitative analysis. We have obtained the required information about the relative importance of the indicators through interviews with six experts in the construction industry to determine the size of the relative importance of each indicator, on the grounds that a large number of performance indicators are difficult to measure and control. We have adopted the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) to identify fewer and more effective performance indicators. And we have used Expert Choice software to analyze expert answers. As a result, we have obtained 9 important indicators which can be directly used as indicators to measure and identify performance projects or as indicators within an integrated system, for performance measurement and tracking helps in improving the performance of construction projects in Syria.

Performance improvement in Construction companies is a complex task, which
requires great effort and care. The research aims to analyze the status of work at the
general company for building and construction, in order to determine the available
ma
nagement problems and then determine the priorities that will be areas of possible
improvement of the performance of the company.
There used three tools to asses inputs ,processes and outputs , The result of
evaluating the maturity (inputs) of project management showed weakness in performance
as The rate of project management maturity reached 2.3 out of 5. Quality indicators
(outputs) , where rates were less than the average, were identified, as it was the results of
questionnaire of measuring customer satisfaction for a sample of projects implemented by
the company and the mean of customer satisfaction was 2.73 out of 5. Finally main
processes of the company were drown and then the “FMEA " was used to identify the
processes which face trouble which were 41 process.
As a result of this comprehensive analysis the priority areas and procedures for the
performance improvement were proposed.
A comprehensive literature review was carried out in order to
identify potential factors that have an influence on project
performance. Based on this review, a formal questionnaire survey
was developed and sent to a carefully selected focus group

In this work, risks in construction projects have been defined based on the literature review
and interviews of some experts in the construction field.
A questionnaire was designed to define the probability of risk occurrence and their effects, also
to define the level of their effects by multiplying the probability occurrence with the effects.
Another questionnaire was designed to define the extent of the effects of the most important
risks on each target of the project, and to specify the procedures applied as a response to the
risks.
The results of this research revealed that "the Inflation, price changes" and "the difference
between contracted quantities and actual quantities " are seen as the most important risk,
where the studied risks in this work affect the schedule more than any other project targets.
Also the results showed that avoiding the risks at the construction stage is the most used action.
Poor design is a major factor in reducing the overall performance of construction projects as well as being directly responsible for many projects cost overrun, delay and being plagued with rework,
variations and disputation.
This research discusse
s the main factors affecting Design Quality in the Construction Industry in Syria.
The result is based on a number of interviews and questionnaire surveys involving 54 designers, contractors and construction professionals. The survey identified 45 different factors classified in
categories related to designer, management of the design process, owner and design documents. The severity of those factors was measured by the level of importance and was ranked according to the
importance index.
It was concluded that, insufficient overall design time, method of selecting the designer based on the lowest price offer, lack of documentation and changes client’s requirements were the most important factors. The results show that designers and contractors have different perceptions of the quality of
design factors.
The aim of this study is to assist all construction parties to plan effectively before starting a project during the design phase in order to minimize problems and eliminate extra costs needed to complete
the defective design. Finally, some recommendations were made in order to improve the design quality in the construction industry.
Islamic banks face many contemporary challenges due to the international events,
global transformations, and the attempt to restrict the growth and expansion of Islamic
banks and its extension across the whole world, as well as errors and illegal a
nd banking
breaches that some Islamic banks has committed.
This situation makes it imperative for all the stakeholders, first and foremost the
Committee of Sharia in these banks, and the control exercised by central banks to Islamic
and conventional banks is a paramount, and that such control has increased the efficiency
of Islamic banks. It did not take into account the working conditions of these banks subject
to the provisions of Islamic law (Sharia). Hence, this research is to learn how to exercise
control over the Islamic banks in Syria. The researcher addressed the types of control on
Islamic banks in Syria represented by the internal control and supervision of the Central
Bank and the Shari'a. The researcher presented at the end of this research a set of
conclusions: there are significant differences between the banking control methods
imposed on Commercial and Islamic banks, as well as the existence of legal supervision of
Islamic banks is necessary to ensure that the provisions of the Islamic law.
Eventually, the researcher concludes a set of proposals and recommendations,
including: the need to develop qualitative and quantitative methods to control the work of
the Islamic banks to achieve desired control objectives in improving the performance of
Islamic banks, as well as the need to allocate a separate department within the Central
Bank of Syria, to carry out inspection and control of Islamic banks, while providing the
Department with trained and qualified human resources on Islamic banking.
