Walls piles supported with Anchors are considered one of most ways of engineering supporting widespread. This research includes studying the behaviorof walls pile, through a numerical parametric study using the (plaxis / 2D) program. the study includ
es the most influencing factors which include:(the angle of the inclination, the vertical spacing between the rows of Anchors andthe distance of the first row of anchors from the ground surface). The effect of these factors on the stability of the wall was studied.Where they give the best effect to the anchors and ensure the best possible positioning which contributes to reducing the economic cost of this constructions.

This research paper revolves around studding the repairing of reinforced concrete
columns which are subjected to an axial compression load, by using ferrocement jackets
containing two layers of Welded Wire Meshes (WWMs), which are in turn encapsula
ted in
high strength mortar.
The experiments were carried out at the concrete lab in the faculty of civil engineering,
Damascus University. The results were analyzed in order to determine the effects of
repairing technique on Ultimate Compressive Strength, Ductility of the Column and Failure
Modes. Empirical results confirmed the efficiency of using locally available welded
wire meshes in repairing of reinforced concrete columns.
The research aims to study the possibility of using practical methods to monitor the
geodetic vertical deformations, and to study the engineering of the origin of the
strengthened carbon fiber. Because of proposed changes in the construction status
of some
of its elements, the study will be accompanied by simulation of the proposed changes by
adding additional live and dead loads, that are equivalent to the new situation. This study
will be made by measuring the vertical displacements for some points of those elements
within optimal control network based on geodetic network confidence requirements. This
study will also assess the potential use of electronic digital high accuracy levels and the
supplied software.
The research succeeds in showing the possibility of quantifying the potential
deformations in reinforced elements, as well as the efficiency of the proposed method of
control and the equipment used.
Most existing structures are not designed with cod
requirements to meet seismic risk, Therefor methods for
strengthening and stiffening existing buildings are important .
This study is comparing between strengthening by adding shear
wall or by ad
ding steel bracing.X -V
The study shows the importance of using steel bracing system
that is excellent approach for strengthening and stiffening
existing buildings with small increase in mass ,the study also
approved that the constant value of R(response factor)(as
mentioned in the Syrian code and UBC97) is not completely
correct.
