This research studies the subject of the agricultural subsidies and
how the change in it effect on the Syrian economy sectors in
general , especially on the agriculture sector to determine suitable
policies . It achieves this target by building so
cial accounting
matrix for the year 2009 and analyzes its multipliers according to
the increasing in agricultural subsidies . This research shows this
increase has negative impact on the Syrian economy so the total
output, production factors and economic agents incomes will be
decreased .
The Theme Of this research mainly focuses on the effects of foreign trade liberalization on the trade balance for agricultural sector in Syria , after conducting an analytical study of the reality of this sector . And that’s due to its importance and
its Stature in the national economy, and its effective role in production , labor , and drive economic growth , especially that the Syrian economy is classified in the agricultural economies. As the new economic trend, and regional conventions between Syria and other parties , and its accompanying procedures followed in order to cope with the foreign trade liberalization data and open markets , may significantly effected the agricultural sector.
Where although it contributed to increase the size and rate of growth of Syrian agricultural trade, but this increase is caused by an increase in the volume of agricultural imports that exceeded the volume of agricultural exportrs, and that led to a defict in its balance, after it has achieved larg surpluses for long period.
It was concluded from the study, that the process of foreign trade liberalization carried in some of its aspects, negative effects on the Syrian agricultural sector, inparticular the defict of its trare balance, instead of being
great motivation , to take its pioneering role in economy.
The research aims to estimate allocated to quench agricultural areas in the coastal region, the amount of water during the period 2002-2012 in case of the use of modern irrigation (drip and sprinkler irrigation) instead of the traditional surface irr
igation according to water legalized each method and the rate of efficiency, as well as to estimate the losses in irrigation networks allocated to agriculture and the development of appropriate pricing mechanisms of government. Find the historical and descriptive approaches adopted, and it was the most important results:
1- The results showed that if the use of drip irrigation surface irrigation in the quench-based surface irrigation acreage allowance contributed to supply up to 40% of the water used in surface irrigation amounts, and an average (174 973 785) cubic meters during the period 2002- 2012.
2- The results showed that if the use of sprinkler irrigation surface irrigation instead of the quench-based surface irrigation acreage for contributed to the supplied amount to 28% of the water used in surface irrigation amounts, and an average (122 481 649) cubic meters during the period studied.
3- economic pricing of agricultural water demand for current pricing varies, it was found that there is a deficit in the recovery of operating and maintenance costs of the territory of farmer beneficiaries of the water public irrigation networks and adult (21,500) per hectare, compared with what is being collected (3500) for. Q per hectare.
Food security including its economic, technical and social dimensions is considered
to be one of the issues that received wide attention, this food security issue is closely
related to the agricultural sector, therefore agricultural sector occupies
a very important
position in the economics of countries, especially developing countries, including Syria.
the agricultural sector has achieved a great success in Syria during its ongoing
development, but recently many local and international changes has appeared. These
changes had a lot of challenges that must be treated with suitable mechanisms . So This
research aims to show the reality of plant and animal production in Latakia, and to
acknowledge the most important human and natural components ingredients that are
available in agricultural sector, this research aims to find out obstacles and problems that
agricultural sector suffers from, and to find perfect solutions for them. It also aims to
discover the best way to increase Agricultural Productions in latakia. and that contributes
to achieving the agricultural development in Syria providing people of Syria , the food
security In addition to economic one .especially in this crisis that gripped Syria.
