The text is a construct that cannot reach its various spaces without standing at its thresholds, as there is no naked text and it must be covered with a title, which is the entrance that precedes the body of the text, its significance is complete onl
y with it. Standing at the thresholds allows the reader to stand at the writer's thoughts and reveal the relationship of the title to the content as it is the interpretive key to open the text lockers, and because it falls within the system of parallel thresholds, it is not inside or outside the text, but in the case of a relationship with it. Hence this approach came to emphasize the importance of these thresholds in reading poetic texts as they are conditional and necessary input, it is necessary to build an initial vision to understand the text. Especially that this study is concerned with Adonis in his poetry collection, " Beginnings of the Body, Ends of the Sea ", Adonis's thresholds are rich and open to endless readings. Adonis, a poet who excels in choosing his thresholds is overwhelmed by poetry, as if you were standing in front of a small, intense poetic passage, foreshadowing the greater explosion of the text universes and their implications.
The current study aims at revealing the body dysmorphic disorder
and its relation to self-esteem among cosmetic surgery clinic visitors
in the county of Homs in the light of the following independent
variables: sex and age, using the correlative d
escriptive
methodology. For the purpose of achieving the goals of the study,
the researcher applied the body dysmorphic disorder criterion
together with the self-esteem criterion to a sample of 200 visitors to
the cosmetic surgery clinics.
This research tries to examine the concept of self within the framework of modern
philosophy and contemporary philosophy, in an attempt to highlight the role of this
concept in the formation of most of the philosophical doctrines from the Greek era
to the
contemporary philosophy, through modern philosophy.
In this research, we will attempt to study the formation of this concept in the
framework of modern and contemporary philosophy, to show the philosophers' interest in
this concept and the extent to which the concept is linked to the clarify their own
philosophy. Therefore, the research attempts to provide a follow-up reading of the concept
of self in a comparative historical context, in which we demonstrate that this concept is still
alive in contemporary philosophy, albeit with different names, such as reason, mind or
feeling.
We will conclude from this the importance of the concept of self in the philosophical
context, which still occupies an important space in the thinking of modern and
contemporary philosophers. Here we will try to ask several questions, including what is the
dualism of the soul and body. How can the soul be a logical synthesis, an emanated mind,
or a subjective feeling? In this research, we will try to answer these questions and other
questions that will appear in the context of the research.
This article explores the possibility of establishing a unique feminine aesthetics
within the larger domain of female body politics in the French writer Anaїs Nin's
controversial work, House Of Incest (1936). The article questions the apparent subm
erging
of the female body in the literary representations of the canon. This research also attempts
to study how Nin's formulation of the "womb writing" extends and, actually, precedes the
tradition of l'ecriture feminine by way of analyzing the female body's engagement with
and commitment to a continuous existence through the body's most basic organic function;
i.e. (re)productivity.
This study sought to identify the most common physical gestures used by female
student teachers during managing the classroom interaction in the first three grades. The
researcher adopted the qualitative research design which suits the nature of th
e study and
the direct observation technique to collect the required data. The study population
consisted of 112 students and the sample consisted of 40 female student teachers who were
chosen with respect to the purposive method. The findings of the study come as follows:
The most common gestures among the individuals of the sample are concluded in
three forms of gestures: first, it is negative as the female student teacher is afraid and
psychologically stressed. Second, it is positive as the female student teacher smiles at
students and tries to communicate with them. Third, it is of a controlled nature of the
classroom; frequency percentage ranged between medium to low. This may indicate that
female student teachers do not rely mainly on physical gestures during managing the
classroom interaction; this may go back to their reliance on other methods to deal with the
wrong behaviors in the first three grades. Finally, the study recommended a set of
recommendations.
This research includes an experimental study and a nonlinear
analysis using the finite element method of reinforced concrete
beams with large opening in body that exist in shear zone . The
tested beams are simply supported with rectangular section
and
without additional reinforcement in opening region. The opening is
square in shape with variable dimensions and constant distance
from the support . Studying the effect of changing length of the
opening on the behavior of the reinforced concrete beams was
already completed. The modes of cracks , (load-deflection )
relationship, ultimate load and the mode of failure for all beams
were determinate . The study showed that existence an opening in
shear region of beams reduce the strength of beams and affect on
the mode of shear failure , and any addition in the depth of the
opening lead to early cracks , more deflections and less ultimate
failure load .
The body is one of the basic themes that Feminist literature texts revolve around. And its interest degree varies from one text to another and from one novelist to another. Like Gadda AL Samman which clebrated the flesh in her novels, and was engage
d in drawing up the details, mystries and desires of body that contribute in the ambivalence. AL Samman was bold to highlight the surgeons. This research is considerd as aread of balanced body between desire and social mores imposed. The literature try to make akind of harmony between self and outside world through taking the social values and integrate them with the personal will.
