The research was conducted in order to investigate the metal contaminants (lead Pb،cadmium Cd ، arsenic As), which moves from irrigation water to many types of vegetables which irrigated from it,and compared the extent of pollution by irrigation source (treatment sewage، wells water), and by vegetable type (Vegetables, fruit plants, tuberous), and by the irrigation method used (surface irrigation ، modern irrigation).

Heavy metals determination was carried out in ٢٤ of vegetable crops, belong to three groups, i.e.: Leaf, Fruit and Tuber vegetable crops. Lead, Chromium, Cadmium and Mercury, were determined using Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy provided with Graph ite furnace. Vegetable samples were collected from six sites along the irrigation water source for Barada and Ghouta for two seasons, ٩٥-٩٦ and ٩٦-٩٧, to evaluate the effect of water source (surface polluted water and ground water) on the heavy metals content of vegetables.
In this study the concentration of (Cu, Cr, Cd, Fe, Mn, Ni, Zn , Pb ,V &Co) in some sedimentary columns and pore-water extracted from the estuary of Al-Kabeer alshemali river was determined during four seasons .the concentrations of these metals w ere determined using atomic absorption spectroscopy (AAS). The columns were cut into slices with 2cm of thickness ,the pore water at every slice was extracted using centrifugation (7000 r/min).the results showed that the concentration increased from surface(deep=0cm, rich of O2) up to the 4cm of deep ,then the concentration decreased in deeper slices (down of 4cm,deficiency of O2) and the concentration of Fe and Mn from high ranking ppm. The rest of the items were relatively lower ranking ppb, but Co, Cd and V were low. meat increased the concentration of all these elements in the spring and summer, compared with the values in the winter and autumn, due to increasing human activities on the one hand and the high temperature on the other hand, leading to increased activities of bacterial that leads to the decomposition of organic material that may increase the ratios of these elements in the pore water.
A comparison was made between Papaver and Malva plants in Aljaouba area between the grown plants on the roadside (0-3 m) , and also50 m far nearly exposure to the pollution . The study in volves a comparison analyses for the concentrations of some he avy metals in the tissues of two studied plants ,during the period April-July 2010 , in order to show the effect of the increased number of vehicles on the concentrations of these metals . The analyses showed that a change of the mineral content of some heavy metals in the tissues of the leaf, according to its far and near to the road , where concentrations of Pb , Cu , Fe , were decreased in various rates , according to the faring stepwise from the road . It also noticed an increasing inthe concentrations of these elements by increasing number of vehicles . The results showed also that plants , which are growing on the roadside , are affected by the pollutants emitted by exhausts , where plant length , leaf weight , leaf area , water content were decreased . The Pollutionalso affected the reproduction and production structures , where the number of flowers and its weight , distances of petals , number of stamens , number of fruits and their weight were decreased .
The reasearch was carried out during 2009 – 2010 in Al – Hasaka – Amoda - to study the effect of cattle manure at the rat of 30 ton / ha , and four organic green manure ( Lentil, Vetch, Faba bean and Barely) on soil content of organic matter and so me mineral elements compared with chemical fertilizer 400 kg / ha urea , 83 kg / ha P2O5 and 25 kg / ha K2O . The manure significantly increased organic matter , phosphorus and potassium concentrations compared with other fertilizers ( chemical and green fertilizers ) . All green fertilizers ( Lentil , Vetch , Faba bean and Barely ) significantly increased organic matter , nitrogen and potassium concentration compared with the control without using any fertilizer , the tillage depth ( 0 – 10 ) cm significantly increased soil content of organic matter and nitrogen compared with deeper tillage ( 25 – 30 ) cm during the two seasons .
The study focused in this research to determine the trace of some heavy metal elements (Copper Cu, Cadmium Cd, Lead Pb) in some types of marine macroalgae scattered on the shore of the city of Banias during 2014, using atomic absorption spectrosco py (technology flame Flame- AAS). The results indicate that the concentrationsofeach of Copper, Cadmium and Lead have a link with macroalgae types, sampling sites from direction, and Source of pollution on the other hand; it was observed that the accumulation of heavy metals in both of Sargassum vulgare (browen algae) and Enteromorpha linza (green algae) was more than red algae. Copper concentration ranged between 1.291 ppm and 11.716 ppm in the studied species, Reaching the highest value in the Enteromorpha linzaalgae and the lowest in Sargassum vulgarealgae, the highest value of Lead element was (59.354 ppm) in Enteromorpha linzaand the lowest value of it was (6.46 ppm) in Ulva fasciata, While the highest values of the element Cadmium recorded (10.457 ppm) in Enteromorpha linza and the lowest (0.666 ppm) in Ulva fasciata.
