The influence of Red Paprika and Local Safflower in the diets on yolk color was studied in two experiments of ٨ and ٥ weeks using ٩٠ and ٢٤ laying hens, respectively; Loghorn hybrids of Lohmann brown and Hy- Lain Brown strain, were used. In the first experiment, yellow corn was substituted totally by rye and wheat and ٤ different amounts of paprika or safflower were tested (٠,٢, ٠,٣, ٠,٤ and ٠,٥٪). In the second experiment the effect of sweet red paprika or hot red paprika in the diet (٠,٥٪) on yolk color or some of production parameters was studied.

The experiment was conducted on 24 brown laying hens at 30 weeks old and were randomly assigned to four groups, each consisting of six laying hens and put in individual cages stacked in accordance with the battery system in the unit of poultry fee d at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University of Hama, in order to study the effect of different types of oil and fat on performance, apparent and true metabolizable energy, and apparent and true fats digestibility.
The research was carried out on (960) broiler chicks of the hybrid Hibrd in the Poultry Unite of Kharabo–Agriculture Faculty–Damascus University, during 27/10/2003 and 23/12/2003. The chicks were distributed randomly since the first day of age int o four experimental groups, every group contained 240 chicks distributed as four replicates, every replication contained 60 chicks, the area of the replication was 5.5m2 and the density was 11 chicks/m2. Every replication is an independent sector from byre is open type on deep litter, all conditions of keeping and caring were the same for all birds of replications. The purpose of research was to study of effect of using different levels of the energy and raw protein into mixtures of (pre-starter) since the first day until sixth day of age on absorption of yolk sac, growth of digestive system ,and some productive parameters of broiler. 48 chicks were dissected, the chicks were distributed as 16 chicks in the first day and 16 chicks in the fourth day and 16 chicks in the sixth day of age, from every group 4chicks were evaluated.

This research was carried out to study some hattching egg traits and chick weight at day old in black type of Syrian local hens and Egyptian Fayoumi strain , and study the differences in egg traits and chicks which come from hybrization between Syr ian black male and Fayoumi female. Results showed that the average egg weight of Syrian hens was 52.33 g and of Fayoumi hens was 46.86 g . The fertility rate increased in hybrid egg compared with parents . It was87.94% in hybrid compared with 84.08% in Syrian hens and 77.22% in Fayoumi strain hens. The day old hybrid chick weight increased compared with Fayoumi chick. It was 32g in hybrid chicks while it was 30 g in Fayoumi chicks , and it was lower compared with black Syrian chicks (35g). Hatchability rate was 89.5% and 92.3% in Syrian local hens and Egyptian Fayoumi hens respectively .And this rate decreased to 82.6% for the hybrid . Chicks hatched decreased to 69.2% for hybrid compared with 72.93%for Syrian local hens and 69.44% for Egyptian Fayoumi hens . The mortality of hybrid chicks was 3.3% , it was lower compared with mortality of Fayoumi chicks (6.05%) and higher compared with mortality of Syrian chicks (2.22%).
