The research aimed to recognize the optimal level of Inputs used for vegetables grown under plastic houses in highlands. These vegetables included cucumber in first and second sowing, green beans, and sweet pepper. To realize this objective, production function analysis was used for representative sample of farmers in the area.

The objective of the research aimes to estimate the optimum amount of output to produce from vegetables grown under plastic houses. The vegetables include tomatoes, green beans, cucumber, hot pepper, and sweet pepper in the Jordan Valley regions, However, cost function analysis was used in this research, average variable cost and marginal cost are derived from total cost function for each crop in each region. The optimum amount of out put to produce can be determined by equating marginal cost with price of product. The break even can be estimate by equating the price of product with the minimum average variable cost.
The research aimed to identify the degree of application to managerial functions by the heads of departments in the directorates of education in Jordan from their point of view, and the effect of academic qualification and experience. To achieve the aim of the study, the tools study was applied on a sample consisted of (442) persons.
An experiment was conducted in a greenhouse growing tomato plant in sand nutrient culture with variable ratios of Ca:Mg and potassium in the nutrient solution. The aim was to evaluate productivity parameters and marketable fruit production. The exp eriment consisted of four Ca:Mg ratios (4:6, 5:5, 7.5:2.5, and 10:0.5 mM/L-1), along with three K concentrations 0.5, 3, and 4.5 mM/L-1 in the nutrient solution. There were 12 treatment each has three replicates. In spite of the increase in weight and volume of fruits with increasing Ca:Mg ratios and potassium concentrations, the increase in fruit number on the plant with increasing Ca:Mg ratio to (5:5) and 6 mM K has the main effect on plant productivity and marketable fruits. In this treatment plants produced 49 fruit/plant resulted from 5 fruit punches. Most of the physiological disorder symptoms spread on fruits was blotchy shoulders, which was associated directly with low potassium concentration in the growth medium, which negatively influenced the marketable fruit production.
Root rot is considered one of the serious widely spread tomato diseases in plastic houses culture of Syria. Soil solarization, using transparent polyethylene (PE) covering, was applied during July and August (١٩٩٤-١٩٩٦) in Tartoos governorate for controlling soilborne pathogenic fungi. Results indicated that, native fungal populations in covered moist soil supplied with or without sulfur were significantly reduced in comparison with the uncovered treatment.
The research was conducted on hybrid Squash (Nancy F1) at Tishreen University in the growing season of spring 2013 in order to study the effect of ground covering and low tunnels on the early production of squash. The study consisted of four experi mental treatments: the control (without covering) and three covering treatments (ground covering using black mulch, ground covering with a low plastic tunnel, and a low plastic tunnel without ground covering). The completely randomized design was used with three replications per treatment and ten plants per replication. The results showed that the covering with a low plastic tunnel was superior to other treatments, resulting in a clear increase in female flowers, the ratio of female flowers to the total flowers, fruit number, and plant production. The results also showed a strong positive correlation between the plant production and the number of female flowers (r=0.999), the number of fruit per plant (r=0.999), the ratio of female flowers to the total flowers (r=0.990) and the total number of flowers (0.995). The correlation with male flowers was however negative (r=-0.954).
