Considered the diagnosis of diseases using image processing is one of the most important areas of image processing techniques used in the medical field, Where is the digital data in the field of ophthalmology focus of researchers for automatic detection of some important diseases such as diabetic retinopathy (DR). And is defined as damage to the retina of the eye comes as serious complications and on the human body complications resulting from diabetes in the long term and is considered one of the most important causes of blindness in the world and cause serious damage to the retina. The research aims to Assess the performance of some of the methods used in the diagnosis of diabetic retinopathy by revealing one of the most important accompanying pests him in the retina of the eye and is the exudates and through diagnosed in images digital fundus through image processing techniques where this detection process contributes in helping to early detection.

To determine the percentage of Diabetic retinopathy patients among patients presenting at retina clinic at Almouassat University Hospital, and to study their systemic and ocular history, their diabetic retinopathy classification and macular involvement.
This study examined 64 patients who visited The New Maternity Hospital at Damascus University. Those patients were divided almost equally between the three types of diabetes. Blood sugar was well controlled by : Diet in 20.3%, insulin in 70.3% and 9.4% of patients reported or came at delivery; So they recieved no treatment. The results were: 1. Obesity was the major combined risk factor among all patients. 2. The ideal time to deliver patients was between 38-40 weeks, the rate of stillbirth rises sharply when patients passe their EDD. 3. The rate of cesarean sections rose to 60.9% in diabetic patients compared to 15.8% in non diabetic patients. 4. Perinatal Morbidity and mortality rose (16 0% Vs 7.7 0%) due to increase in rate of congenital anomalies (7.8% Vs 2%) also due to macrosomia (21.3%) associated with immaturity leading to failure of the newborn to adapt with extra-uterine life.
The aim of the present research is to determine the appropriate diagnostic methods to find out the affected fetuses with Down Syndrome in order to decrease as possible subjecting the pregnant women to invasive prenatal diagnosis . This is a Prosp ective – practical study, where /1137/ pregnant women at 13- 16 gestation weeks, ( age range: 20-42 years) were included. Biochemical screening of the pregnant women, ultrasound screening of the fetuses: nuchal translucency, nasal bone, which helped us to isolate the highrisk pregnancies for Down syndrome (the potential rate of incidence ≥ 0.4%). The screen positive group included 57 pregnant ( 5.01% ) . Amniocentesis and subsequently karyotyping was done to each woman in this group . We found out 4 affected fetuses from 5 ( 80%) , because the following up of the remaining pregnancies revealed a fifth affected newborn with Down syndrome. The early prenatal diagnosis of Down syndrome was possible in ( 80% ) by subjecting only ( 5.01% ) of pregnants to the invasive prenatal diagnosis .
Flow cytometry became unavoidable step in the diagnosis of Acute Leukemia . However, accurate diagnosis is conditioned by using proper markers. Objective: to evaluate the quality of performance of four colors protocol, we used for immunophenotyping of acute leukemia in children.
Treatment of the cryptorchid testicle is justified due to the increased risk of infertility and malignancy as well as the risk of testicular trauma and torsion and psychological stigma on patients and their parents. Approximately 20% of cryptorchid testicles are nonpalpable. Many Radiological methods in addition to surgical exploration have been used to localize the non-palpable testis. In these cases, the laparoscopic technique is a usefull method for diagnosis and treatment.
