Treatment of the cryptorchid testicle is justified due to the increased risk of infertility and malignancy as well as the risk of testicular trauma and torsion and psychological stigma on patients and their parents. Approximately 20% of cryptorchid testicles are nonpalpable. Many Radiological methods in addition to surgical exploration have been used to localize the non-palpable testis. In these cases, the laparoscopic technique is a usefull method for diagnosis and treatment.

The diagnosis of pleural diseases is one of the frequent clinical problems. Despite a variety of diagnostic tests are available for evaluating pleural effusions, approximately 15– 20% of pleural effusions remains undiagnosed, In this cases ,a thora coscopy plays an important role, it permits the surgeon to visually view and evaluate the entire pleural space ,and to obtain enough accurate biopsies from suspected areas. This study aims to evaluate the effectivenes of Video Assisted Thoracoscopic surgery (VATS) in diagnosis of pleural effusions. Between June 2012 and June 2015 we performed 38diagnostic thorososcopy for undiagnosed pleural effusions. The histopathologic studies of pleural biopsies result were as follows : )%60,5 ( malignancies,)%31,6 ( TB And )%7,9 ( nonspecific inflammatory reaction. The malignant diseases are: Mesothelioma )%60,9(, Metastases of adenocarcinoma )%30,4(,Lymphoma )% 8,7( 4 Complications ,with no mortality. Conclusion: Video Assisted Thoracoscopic Surgery is a safe and accurate diagnostic procedure for pleural diseases but it also has a very useful role in therapy.(VATS) saves time, effort and cost, more over it is preferred by the patient as he recovers and returns to his normal activity rapidly.
the aim of this study is to prove that laparoscopic approach in experienced hands is the treatment of choice for adrenal masses (up to 10 cm) the study was conducted in Al Asad University hospital between 2004-2006.By reviewing the files of 22 p atients with adrenal mass retrospectively and prospectively all of them were done laparoscopicaly except one case in which the operation was converted to open approach .the variables that considered in this study were the difficulty of the procsdure, time of surgery, the ratio of conversion to the classic approach (open adrenalectomy ^morbidity and mortality rates.
Dysfunctional uterine bleeding and postmenopausal bleeding is one of the most important challenges facing gynecologists. The results of our study showed the Pipelle not to be as accurate as the standard dilatation and curettage especially in postm enopausal women after measuring the endometrial lining, we related this to the technics we used in reusing the Pipelle itself which is made for single use, and to possibly the bias of the pathologist who read the slides.
Renal artery stenosis is an important clinical entity. its importance lies in that it may be a treatable cause of hypertension, and it is -when progress- a cause of chronic renal failure. The causes of renal artery stenosis are numerous, the most common are: atherosclerosis and fibromuscular dysplasia (accounts for more than 95% of cases). Digital Subtraction Angiography (DSA) is the standard reference in the radiologic diagnosis of renal artery stenosis, but it carries the risk of being invasive procedure. Doppler ultrasound is used in the evaluation of the renal arteries, and it has the advantage of being non-invasive and inexpensive.
The aim of this study was diagnosis and conservative treatment of Pyometra in dogs with antiprogestins (such as Aglepriston) and prolactin inhibiting (Cabergoline) associated with synthetic PGF2α (Cloprostinol) will replace ovariohysterectomy. Tw enty-three dogs (8,5 ± 3,2 years old and 5-35 kg weight) from different breeds with know breeding history and open or closed type of Pyometra, were used in this study. All dogs underwent a general and gynecological examination including Ultrasonography.
