Featuring a self-compacting concrete (SCC) high capacity to fill the mold and passing ability through barriers under the influence of self-weight without vibration, thereby reducing the required labour and reduces the noise associated with vibration. Modern applications focused on improving the specifications of high performance, resistance and speed of construction. The research presents an experimental study for an (SCC) mix produced from local materials, including the necessary tests on the proposed concrete mix, which approved in the global codes. These experiments determine the basic characteristics of (SCC) in fresh case were also identified pressure resistance of (SCC) and determine the value of the modulus of elasticity (E) and the behavior curvatures. All mixes have been achieved global standards and conditions, and the required experiments were done in the laboratory of civil engineering faculty at Tishreen University.

This research presents an experimental study behaviour of high strength concrete, for evaluation of stress - strain curve and derivation of factors of equivalent compressive stress block, we depend it in design of high strength concrete elements. For this purpose, number of cylinders specimens with strength 60 MPa were prepared and tested in compression, then curve was obtained. The results showed the possibility of producing high strength concrete from local materials and with strengths are highest than those were obtained, the resulting diagrams of curve are shown to be essentially linearly elastic up to failure with a steeper declining portion of the stress - strain diagram, which agree with the results of global researches, the failure was almost sudden and rapid with increasing strength which shows that the highstrength concrete less ductile than normal concrete at the failure. Curve of high strength concrete differs from that normal concrete, this affects on the properties of rectangular equivalent stress block which requires modifications on the factors led to optimum represent for it and with evaluation of curve of the tested specimens, the diagram takes a trapezoidal shape ( ), its value at the top is and the depth of the compressive block is and we found and ( is average compression/cylinder compressive strength of concrete, is ratio of the active depth that defined location of compression force center), when concrete strength increases up , the diagram shape will be closer to triangular than trapezoidal and then curve takes the shape of triangle its value at the top is and the depth is and with replacing triangular diagram to rectangle.
Concrete considers as the most popular building material because of the many advantages that it has. This come up with a huge amount of concrete waste. As a way to produce a concrete which is friend to environment, four percentages 0%, 50%, 75%, 100% of coarse recycled aggregate as replacement of natural coarse aggregate in concrete mix are used in this research. The work ability and wet and dry density are presented in this study. The compressive strength at age of 7, 28, 56 days are estimated, also splitting tensile strength and modulus of elasticity are founded at 28 day. The study shows that when The percentage of recycled aggregate exceeds 50% in concrete mix the mechanical properties reduce. When 100% of recycled aggregate is used the compressive strength, splitting tensile strength and elastic modulus decrease by 14%, 22%, 25% respectively, so it is possible to use recycled aggregate concrete in production of non-structural elements.
The main purpose of the research was to partially replace the reused substrates with natural preservatives. Five mixtures were formed with different percentages of the recycled granules (0- 100%) and for constant W/C, and the study of the possibility of disposal of the ruins of the destroyed buildings through their reuse in the work of the concrete and the positive effect on the environment.
Thirty randomized samples of sugar materials were collected from different places (Tartous, Damascus, Homs) in Syria for isolation and identification of some yeasts. These yeasts were classified physiologically by API technique to identify the spe cies of Yeasts found in these materials. Results showed that the isolated materials contained 17 isolated yeasts distributed in 3 genus and 7 species and named as follows: One isolated yeast from Geotrichum capitatum, Candida krusei,Candida guilliermondi, Candida fumata and Candida zeylanoides and 4 isolated yeasts from Candida lusitaniae and 7 isolated yeasts from Saccharomyces cerevisiae. The classified yeasts were screened to investigate the activity of internal and external invertase produced by them using spectrophotometer at 540 nm. The results showed that there were differences in the ability of yeasts to produce invertase enzyme. Candida Lusitaniae-2 and Saccharomyces cerevisiae-4 were found the best yeasts for production of external invertase, whereas Candida Lusitaniae1 was the best for internal invertase.
The aim of this investigation was to compare between liver pate mixtures manufactured from local raw materials and determine the best mixture. Twelve pate mixtures with three types of livers (sheep, chicken, calf) and different concentrations of w ater and fat were prepared and analyzed for microbial counts (aerobic, anaerobic, yeast, mold, Staphylococcus spp, Salmonella spp, Listeria, mono- cytogenes, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Clostridium spp, E.coli O157:H7 ،Campylobacter spp), emulsion stability and sensory evaluation to determine the acceptability of the pate mixtures. Microbiologically, most of raw materials which used to prepare the pate mixtures were going with Syrians Standard (No. 2179, 2007), The mixtures were free of the aerobic microbial counts after the completion of the sterilization process. Sheep fat was better than vegetable oil for processing liver pate mixtures. According to sensory evaluation and emulsion stability, the mixture No12 containing 10 % of three types of liver, 30% sheep fat and 20% water was the best.
