This study was conducted to investigate the effect of abrupt and gradual acclimation of Liza aurata fingerlings to fresh water and gradual acclimation to a selected salinity 3‰. L.aurata fingerlings were collected directly from the sea and duplicate groups of 30 fingerlings were distributed after rest to glass aquaria (100 liter capacity). The first group was acclimated abruptly to fresh water, the second gradually to fresh water, the third was acclimated gradually to 3‰ and the last group was left as control in sea water. The fingerlings were fed artificial diet (35% protein and 500 kcal GE/100g), twice a day to satiation for 75 days.

Acute toxicity of the pesticide Chlorpyrifos tests were conducted to determine the Lethal concentration LC50 during 48 hours exposure on three species of fresh water Zooplankton: Brachionus calyciflorus ( Rotifera), Mesocyclops leuskarti (Copepoda) and Daphnia magna ( Cladocera). • It was found that the species Daphnia magna is the most sensitive to the pesticide Chlorpyrifos as the value of 48h-LC50=1.28 μg/L, followed by the species Mesocyclops leuskarti 48h-LC50=28 μg/L while it was observed severe lack of sensitivity of the species Brachionus calyciflorus to the pesticide 48h-LC50=910 μg/L. • Depending on the values of the units of toxicity TU has been shown that the toxicity of the pesticide Chlorpyrifos is from the fourth level = highly toxic (TU = 78.30) for Daphnia, and Level III = acute toxicity (TU = 3.57) for Mesocyclops, while it is the first level = non toxic (TU = 0.11) for Brachionus. • Each increase in the concentration of the pesticide 1.0μg/L lead to increase the mortality rate in the species studied about: Daphnia magna ، % 68.79 Mesocyclops leuskarti ، % 0.22 Brachionus calyciflorus % 0.0468 As a result, we can expect that the arrival of the pesticide to aquatic ecosystems will affect the whole bio-community in these ecosystems and the inter their relationships, which in turn could be the cause of the disruption of the ecological balance with vague consequences that are difficult to understand its dimensions.
According to the algae ability in photosynthesis and carbohydrate production with high value in nutrition and industry, this research was carried out during 2015 to study the qualitative and quantitative content of carbohydrates in Chlorella vulgar is which was isolated from southern Syrian fresh water, and to determine the effect of the growth conditions; temperature (15, 25, 35 C), sodium nitrate concentration (0.1, 0.25, 0.4 g/l) and pH (6, 7, 8) on that content. The results showed that the total content was in the range of 20% to 40%;with galactose and rhamnose dominating among the rest of sugars. The temperature 15°C was the best to get the greatest total content with the highest value of starch, cellulose, hemicellulose and pectin. In addition, the low nitrate concentration 0.1 g/l was combined with the highest content of pectin and its compounds, while the glucose content was not affected by the nitrogen concentration. Related to pH effect, the acidic media was proved to be the best for the highest carbohydrate content. Moreover, cellulose, starch, and pectin increased in the alkali medium over the rest of carbohydrates.
This research discuss the method followed to specify water transmissivity; using the water balance data related to the natural model of aquifer; in order to pinpoint this transmissivity values on vast areas and; therefore; drawing of the regional water transmissivity This method is based on the steady relation between water transmissivity and the amount of natural charging is case of constant motion that is reflected on the piezometeric surface of the artesian water and the depth of water level with regard to free aquatic. Undoubtfuly, pinpointing transmissivity values and then drawing charts of regional water transmissivity depending on this method have a great significance practically, especially when complicated hydrogeological conditions are modeled. All the places of hidden tectonic dislocations can be clarified and scrutinized, bicides, there is then an ability to specify all charging and discharging areas, and explain the transformation of rock characters. Over, and above, all the results attained correspond with the geological, structural, and lythological characteristics of studied area.
Natural changes in the level of ground water through time is gaining great importance in evaluating the water system and to provide a lot of information about groundwater movement , which allows the assessment of the water situation public water l ayer in the study area . We adopted our measurements in groundwater levels frequencies on a private network monitoring hydrogeological She is the author of 26 wells distributed over the entire area of the region studied were carried out in some measurements for a period of six years. The study found that groundwater system of climate type (water division line) is directly linked to seep from rainfall and seepage from canals and irrigation water plays a significant role in the pose, which is characterized by Baltkareh and periodic quarterly in the annual changes of the levels, and the stability and balance in the conditions of these elevations, and the general direction of movement of groundwater will be from the east and north-east towards the west and southwest and Askew Hydraulic 0.005 a faddish topographic situation and the general trend of the cracks and fissures in the area.
Groundwater Samples were collected from seven locations distributed in Lattakiabasin during the winter and summer seasons of 2013.All samples were treated chemically and calculated statistically to evaluate the quality of the studied water and its chemical properties. The aim was to assess the suitability of the water to be potable and to determine the predominant hydrogeology status. It was noticed that the concentrations of the detected major elements were within allowed limits cited for drinking and irrigation waters. Also, it was found that there were no sharp changes either in salinity or in geochemical type of the water toward groundwater movement. Furthermore, the groundwater in the studied locations was largely influenced by lithological composition of aquatic holder. In general, these waters were found to be uncontaminated with marine waters with exception of the location called " wall of Al Mena Al Baida" that is located near the sea. This has been proven by calculation of some of geochemical proportions. Also, this study proved that the aquatic flows in the different water holders of Latakia basin have a hydrolytic relationship among them. Consequently, these flows comprise a uniform aquatic flow with homogenous properties in most of its parts. The direction movement of this uniform flow was identical to the general decline of the zone mostly.
