The purpose of this research is to study the improvement of soil properties by the addition of lime in certain percentages. The soil used in this study was obtained from the Baseet region, which is located by the Syrian coast. We have studied the effect of lime on the consistency, the swell characteristics and the shear strength of soil. The results of this study have shown a remarkable reduction of both liquid and shrinkage limits, and the plasticity index with the increase of lime percentage. As for plasticity limit, it increases in the beginning then decreases slightly with the rising of lime percentage. For the volumetric variation, the susceptibility of swelling and the shrinkage of improved soil with lime decrease, and the free swelling and the swelling pressure become almost negligible with 4% of lime. Based on the shear strength results, we can indicate a notable increase in the friction angle and cohesion of soil with increasing of lime percentage up to 8% of lime. After that, these two factors decrease.

Asphalt plays the role of envelope and bonding in asphalt gable, and is exposed to a range of changes that start from the stage of production of asphalt mosses to the stage of investment under the influence of traffic loads and weather factors. The aim of this research is to investigate the possibility of using polypropylene polymer to modify the properties of the asphalt binder and to increase its resistance to high temperatures and different climatic conditions by modifying the asphalt by adding polypropylene by (1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 8%) And perform traditional tests on modified asphalt samples . Using Thin film oven test RTFOT test to perform the short-term Aging on normal and modified asphalt samples, heat loss, residual Penetration and aging index, And conduct a structural composition test to determine asphalt compounds. The results of the study showed that the values of Penetration tend to decrease with the increase of the percentage of addition while the degree of Softening point. The results showed increased resistance of asphalt modified to the thermal conditions. The optimum percentage of polypropylene is 3% Loss on heat at the lowest level.
The research was performed by isolating some species of soil- fungi from agricultural soils handling with different pesticides and fungicides. Where the following fungi were isolated: Aspergillus niger (The isolates A1 and A2), Fusarium oxysporum ( The isolate F), Trichoderma harzianum (The isolate T). Also F. solani (The isolate F7) and T. viride (The isolate T.v) were used, whereas they were taken from high studies laboratory- Science Faculty- Tishreen University at a previous search. The research was conducted to assay the ability of the previous fungi to degradation a number of pesticides, the insecticide "Dolan", the insecticide "Plantocide", the nematicide "Vydate" and the fungicide "Bayfidan", through the effect of double dose of each pesticides in the biomass of the studied fungi on PDB medium. In addition to analysis the results residues of pesticides using Spectrophotometer, and evaluation the pH values.
This study was conducted to prolong the period of validity of diluted yoghurt by adding 0.5g, 0.75g and 1g of garlic per 1liter milk during the storage period of 50 days at 4 ± 1C °and 10 ± 1C°. Some of microbial, chemical and sensory parameters o f yoghurt were identified on weekly bases from 1 till 49 days of the storage period. Results indicated that the vital force as a microbial parameter was lasted for 7 days in the control samples while it was lasted with for 35, 42, and 49 days for the samples containing 0.5, 0.75 and 1g of garlic, respectively when samples stored at 4±1C°. There were no significant differences in the vital force between control and treated samples when they stored at 10±1C°. Sensory properties of diluted yoghurt were more favorable in samples containing 0.5g of garlic (absence of taste and smell of garlic) in comparison with control samples or with samples containing higher proportions of garlic. Results also indicated that adding garlic did not affect either the pH of diluted yoghurt or the values of its sensory properties during storage periods and increased the safety of consumption up to 49 days of storage while this safety did not extend behind 7 days in control samples. It was concludes that adding garlic by 0.5 g/ liter of diluted yoghurt can increase its shelf life for 49 days.
In this research an experimental study has been carried out to investigate the enhancement of Bosra Alsham´s soil (120 km south Damascus) by using crushed glass wastes additives by using experimental approach. The soil samples were taken from Bosr a (2m underground surface), which is classified as highly plastic clayey soil CH according to unified classification.
This paper is targeting towards studying on the possibility to modify some properties of unsaturated Polyester compounds by adding rubber materials in order to improve its flexibility property. For this target, Waste of cars' tires was used in two forms powder and pieces, and the liquid rubber Styrene-butadiene was used as another type of rubber. After that the modification was detected by measuring the possibility of the resulted compound materials to absorb vibration power, and reduce the noise that is produced by eccentric crankshaft circulation at different rotating speeds, (300, 500, 700) rpm. Test results demonstrate that there will be Modification in the construction of the compounds at low rotating speeds (300 rpm). On the other hand, it demonstrates different results at high rotating speeds.
