This article summarizes a numerical and mathematical comparison between filled and hollow X-shape plates to develop a new steel energy dissipative damper for structures protection of earthquakes. The plate is a weld from two ends. Energy is dissipated through flexural yielding when the plate is subjected to inelastic cyclic deformation. The performance of the plate was verified by five models by software ABAQUS and plastic mechanism analysis. Results showed that the plate exhibited stable hysteresis and dissipate energy with excellent values. It is Important to say all dimensions of plates and quality of steel are verified by international articles. This article's interest lies in studying the effect of openings on plate's dissipation energy.

Abstract We study learning named entity recognizers in the presence of missing entity annotations. We approach this setting as tagging with latent variables and propose a novel loss, the Expected Entity Ratio, to learn models in the presence of syste matically missing tags. We show that our approach is both theoretically sound and empirically useful. Experimentally, we find that it meets or exceeds performance of strong and state-of-the-art baselines across a variety of languages, annotation scenarios, and amounts of labeled data. In particular, we find that it significantly outperforms the previous state-of-the-art methods from Mayhew et al. (2019) and Li et al. (2021) by +12.7 and +2.3 F1 score in a challenging setting with only 1,000 biased annotations, averaged across 7 datasets. We also show that, when combined with our approach, a novel sparse annotation scheme outperforms exhaustive annotation for modest annotation budgets.1
This study describes the changes in species composition of phytoplankton under different Si:N ratios from spring to summer of 2010 and 2011. For this purpose, natural Phytoplankton was cultured in mesocosmic experiments at two stations in the north ern part of Latakia coastal water. The abundance of phytoplankton was measured, and the specific composition of phytoplankton was determined. Diatoms dominated during 2010 and 2011, while Dinoflagellates did not compete with diatoms during this study. The enrichment experiment affected the species composition of the diatoms themselves, where the species Pseudo-nitzschia pseudodelicatissima Schil and Leptocylindrus danicus Cleve dominated under different Si:N ratios.
Cancer is an important global health issue, and colorectal cancer is one of the most common cancers worldwide. It was recently discovered that the systemic inflammatory response plays a supportive role in various types of cancer, including colorectal cancer. The inflammatory response can be reflected by several indexes, including the platelet lymphocyte ratio (PLR).Cancer is an important global health problem, and colorectal cancer is one of the most common cancers. Our study aimed to evaluate the relation between platelet lymphocyte ratio and to correlate this ratio with the clinicopathological characteristics of non-metastatic colorectal cancer patients. We enrolled 95 non-metastatic colorectal patients at Oncology Depatment at Tishreen University Hospital. Our results revealed that there were statistically significant differences in the higher mean of lymphocyte platelets ratio by the stage of the tumor (p<0.0001), by the size of the tumor (p=0.001), and by the metastases of the lymph nodes (p=0.03), as the mean increases with the tumor stage with the size of the tumor and the formation of metastases in the lymph nodes. While there were no statistically significant differences in the higher mean of lymphocyte platelets by the histological grade of tumor (p = 0.1), as well as by the tumor location in the left and right colon (p= 0.3). These results reflect the correlation of the high percentage of lymphocyte platelets with the histopathological clinical characteristics that indicate a poor prognosis in patients with colorectal cancer
The masking-based speech enhancement method pursues a multiplicative mask that applies to the spectrogram of input noise-corrupted utterance, and a deep neural network (DNN) is often used to learn the mask. In particular, the features commonly used f or automatic speech recognition can serve as the input of the DNN to learn the well-behaved mask that significantly reduce the noise distortion of processed utterances. This study proposes to preprocess the input speech features for the ideal ratio mask (IRM)-based DNN by lowpass filtering in order to alleviate the noise components. In particular, we employ the discrete wavelet transform (DWT) to decompose the temporal speech feature sequence and scale down the detail coefficients, which correspond to the high-pass portion of the sequence. Preliminary experiments conducted on a subset of TIMIT corpus reveal that the proposed method can make the resulting IRM achieve higher speech quality and intelligibility for the babble noise-corrupted signals compared with the original IRM, indicating that the lowpass filtered temporal feature sequence can learn a superior IRM network for speech enhancement.
Experiments were carried out at two stations in the northern part of Latakian coastal water during March 2010, to investigate the influence of Si: N ratios on diatoms growth and to determine the conditions that would generate Si limitation in diato m growth and that might cause a shift from diatom to din flagellate dominance. To achieve that, Natural Phytoplankton were cultured in mesocosm experiments. At the beginning of the experiment, the inorganic nutrients were manipulated to give different inorganic Si: N ratios (ranged between 0, 3 and 7). The results showed that Diatoms were still dominant under these Si: N ratios and Din flagellates remained unaffected, regardless of the above different ratios. The experiment did not show any Silicate limitation to the diatom growth even under the lowest N: Si ratios. Moreover, the species composition of diatoms was affected by the enrichment experiments operated in two stations. Here, the Nitzschia closterium species dominated under both low and high Si: N ratios although their occurrence is not common during the spring phytoplankton bloom at both sites.
