Architectural Spaces Analysis to Official Buildings at the Beginning of the Twentieth Century: Comparison with the Functionalism Theory

بدأ معماريو القرن التاسع عشر بالاقتباس من عمارة الماضي و النقل منها إلى أن توصلوا إلى العمارة الحديثة التي أصبحت طريقة في مواجهة الأحوال و حل لمشكلات العصر، و لم يعد المعماريون في بداية القرن العشرين يقتبسون، و إنما أصبحوا يسهمون في تشكيل البيئة المحيطة، تناول البحث التعريف بالنظرية الوظيفية التي واكبت ظهور العمارة الحديثة، و كونت هذه النظرية أهم المبادئ الأولى التي سار عليها معظم المعماريين في مختلف أنحاء العالم، بداية العشرينيات فظهرت واضحة في تصميم الفراغات الداخلية للمباني الرسمية في مدينة دمشق، و أبرزت سمات التشابه و الاختلاف فيما بينها. إن لدراسة تأثير هذه النظرية في الفراغ المعماري المشكل للحجم الكلي للبناء، الأثر الكبير في تسليط الضوء على احتياجات هذه المباني في مرحلة إعادة التأهيل و الوصول إلى الشروط الوظيفية التي تحقق الراحة و المنفعة في استخدامها مع إمكانية الإفادة من خصائصها المعمارية المميزة لفضاءاتها المختلفة و دراسة العلاقات الاستعمالية المختلفة لهذه المباني، و من ثم تحديد العناصر المعمارية الجديدة التي ظهرت و دراسة إمكانية توضعها الأمثل ضمن الفراغ و إظهار الربط الوظيفي لهذه العلاقات، ذلك كّله ضمن إطار الإسهام في التصميم الوظيفي للفراغات الداخلية للمباني الرسمية لتواكب المتطلبات الحديثة و الأنظمة الإدارية الحديثة لمثل تلك الوظائف.

Architects at the nineteenth century began to quote from the past architecture models and use them until they reached a modern architecture that has become a way to the face conditions and solve recent problems, At the beginning of the twentieth century, architects do no longer quote, but rather they contribute to shape the environment, so they dealt with the definition of functional theory, that accompanied the emergence of modern architecture, coupled with the name of the French architect Le Corbusier. Early twenties appeared clearly in the design of interior spaces of official buildings in the city of Damascus, and highlighted the similarities and differences among them. Therefore we study the influence of this theory on the Architectural spaces of the total volume of the building, considered a significant impact in highlighting the needs of these buildings in the rehabilitation process, and we specified the requirements that meet the comfort and utility to take advantage of the characteristics of the architectural features of different spaces, in addition we study the functional relations for these buildings, then select the new architectural elements that have emerged and study the possibility of its optimal position. All this work was within the framework of contributing to the functional design of internal spaces for the official buildings to keep pace with modern requirements and regulations of modern management for such buildings.
