This study is aimed at studying the effect of using four species of
bacteria Plant Growth Promotion Rhizobacteria (PGPR) Azotobacter
chroococcum, Rhizobium leguminosarum, Bacillus megaterium and
Frateuriaaurantia on the growth, yield and reducing
the effect of
Cucumber mosaic virus(CMV) on pepper plants in a greenhouse
experiment. The observed growth parameters were: plant height, foliage
fresh weight, root fresh weight, fruit weight in a green house expirment
in Tartous in the season 2016/2017.
This study aimed at studying the effect of using three species of
bacteria (PGPR) Azotobacter chroococcum Bacillus megaterium and
Frateuria aurantia in three inoculation manner ( seeds, shoots &
seed+shoots) on suppressed the effect of Cucumber mo
saic virus
(CMV) on tomato plants (pots), Some growth parameters such as plant
height, number of leaves on plant, foliage fresh weight, root fresh
weight were observed after 60 days. The experiment carried out in
2016 in a greenhouse in Tartus.
Ascochyta blight, which is caused by the fungus Ascochyta fabae f. Sp. Lentis, is
considered as a very important fungal disease that infects lentils and cause it damage.
The experiment was conducted in ICARDA research station for agricultural exper
iments in
the orchard area Basha, Jableh, Lattakia in four varieties of lentils that are grown in
different parts of Syria, and these varieties are: Idleb 2, Idleb 3, Idleb 4, and municipal red.
Artificial infection was performed using a local isolation of the fungus Ascochyta lentis
with an average of three times and ten days between each infection and the other. The
infectious vaccine adopted a concentration of 105 Båge / ml.
A field experiment was carried out during 2003 and 2004 in Edleb
governorate to study the effect of phosphate solubilizing bacteria (Bacillus
megaterium) and cows manure on solubilization of phosphate rock, cotton
productivity, and phosphate uptak
e. The amounts of phosphate rock and
superphosphate were added by the same amount of P2O5.
An amount of nitrogen fertilizer as urea, was added to treatment 1, 2, 3, 4,
5, and 6 , whereas treatment 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12 received amounts of organic
fertilizer having the same amount of N added to treatment 1-6 (MAAR
recommendation).
A field experiment was carried out during 2002 at Al-Husainea - Deer Al-
Zour to study the effect of PSB (Pseudomonas) or PSB combined with 50%,
25%, 100 % of the recommended phosphorus (P2O5) mineral fertilizer without
inoculation on cotton produ
ctivity, phosphate uptake .
Significant differences in available phosphate were noticed in comparison
with the control. These microorganisms were effective in solubilizing of fixing
phosphate in soil and fixing phosphate, added to the soil as superphosphate.
Significant increasing in cotton yield of inoculating treatments was noticed in
comparison with the control.
