PCNA is synthesized in early G1 and S-phases of cell cycle. Tight linkage to cell
proliferation has led to the investigation of its role in the evaluation of tumors for
prognosis. The aim of this study is to use computerized image analysis to measu

PCNA and CD31 antibodies in a series of canine melanocytic tumors to assess density
of marked cells by these antibodies, and to correlate density of marked cells with
malignant degree of these tumors through comparative study between CD31, PCNA
and microscopic aspect. 12 dog melanic tumors were diagnosed during the period
2001–2010 in Pathology Department USAMV Cluj-Napoca, for PCNA expression
study, and 10 samples of them were treated with CD31 marker by immunohistochemical
for comparative study.
This study aimed to provide an assessment of some anatomical
characteristics of the formal comparison to the kidneys of dogs
and sheep by studying of macroscopic anatomical differences and
morphometric measurement between the studied kidneys . (20

Kidneys were taken randomly during the slaughter of ten heads of
sheep in the local slaughterhouses, regardless of gender and age ,
Animals were clinically free of diseases and (20) kidneys were
taken from ten local stray dogs and regardless of gender and age ,
Animals were clinically free of diseases . the study showed the
presence of Morvomitrih differences in kidney (length – width -
thickness - weight) and some anatomical variations (renal pelvis -
renal Columns )between the kidneys of sheep and dogs. The study
pointed out there are many similarities between the kidneys of
sheep and dogs whereas revealed the length of the dogs kidneys.
The aim of this study was diagnosis and conservative treatment of
Pyometra in dogs with antiprogestins (such as Aglepriston) and
prolactin inhibiting (Cabergoline) associated with synthetic PGF2α
(Cloprostinol) will replace ovariohysterectomy.

enty-three dogs (8,5 ± 3,2 years old and 5-35 kg weight) from
different breeds with know breeding history and open or closed type of Pyometra, were used in this study. All dogs underwent a general and gynecological examination including Ultrasonography.
