Regarding the sealing ability of restorative dental materials, this
study was done to assess the microleakage of class V cavities
restored with a new self-adhesive flowable composite resin and
compare to different flowable materials.
This study aimed to evaluate the extent of the
microleakage in the cavities which prepared with Er:YAG (erbium:
yttrium aluminum garnet) laser or diamond burs and restored by
using of different types of resin materials.
The aim of this study was to compare microleakage of resin-based
sealant Helioseal F with or without bonding agent. Fifty-six sound
human maxillary first premolar teeth were collected which were
extracted for orthodontic purpose, then the teeth we
re randomly divided
into two main equal groups; group (1) and group (2), the first group was
treated with Tetric N Bond bonding agent, whiles the second group
without.
Aim: The aim of this study was to detect the effect of dressing period of calcium
hydroxide medicament on the apical marginal leakage after obturation of root canal
system.
Materials and Methods: 80 freshly extracted single rooted human teeth were
selected ,all the root canals were hand-instrumented. They were randomly divided into four
groups of 20 teeth each. Group A has no intracanal medicament , groups (B,C,D) were
dressed with Ca(OH)2 paste for a different periods of time (7,14,30) days respectively,
groups (B,C,D) were divided into subgroups of 10 teeth according to removing of dressing
. The removal of ca(OH)2was done by two ways, 1- By irrigating with distilled water and
drying with paper points . 2- Size 40 k-file was used in slightly filing motion up to the
working length then irrigated with distilled water and drying with paper points. After that
all groups were obturated with lateral compaction technique using gutta-percha points and
zinc oxide-eugenol cement. Then the access was sealed with GIC cement. The teeth were
immersed into 2% mythylene blue solution ,The specimens were placed in an incubator at
37 C ,with moisture at 100%, for 7 days .After that the roots were sectioned
longitudinally and examined with stereomicroscope and liner leakage was measured.
The aim : This study aims to evaluate and compare the microleakage between nano
and hybrid composite.
Materials and Methods : the sample consisted of forty extracted premolars for
orthodontics purposes , class v cavities were prepared with a speci
fic dimensions on the
buccal surface. The sample divided into two groups ; group A restored by nanocomposite (
Z350) , group B restored by hybrid composite ( Z250) , after that, the samples were placed
in the incubator with thermo cycling for a month ,The samples were then immersed in 0.5
% methelyne blue dye for 24 hours , each tooth was mesial-distal sectioned vertically ,
finally, of all samples was studied using stereomicroscope to evaluated the microleakage .
Results : there was no statistical significant difference between the nano and hybrid
composite according to microleakage.
Objective: To compare effect laser Er:Yag and polyacrylic acid on
microleakage of of resin-modified glass-ionomer cement.
Analysis of variance shows no statistical differences between
three groups .
The aim of this in vitro study was to determine the effect of fissure
types on the microleakage, and penetration ability of fissure sealant.
The occlusal surface of ninety caries-free extracted human upper
premolars were cleaned, etched and sealed
with (UltraSeal XT
Plus) Sealant. The sealed teeth were thermocycled then coated with
two layers of nail varnish, leaving exposed a 1 mm window around
the sealant margins and then immersed in 1% methylene blue for 24
hours. Each tooth was sectioned bucco-lingually and examined with
a stereo microscope (40x magnification) for fissure types,
microleakage, and penetration ability.

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect of preetching
with phosphoric acid on microleakage of self-etch
adhesive material Adhes E in primary teeth.
The study involve 50 primary teeth(molars ,canins )which
extracted for orthodontic re
asons had no caries ,fractures ,crack.
The teeth were gathered in Hama university-pediatric dentistry
department. Class v cavity prepared in all samples.
During the previous decade, resins were widely used in the restoration of posterior teeth, as it was found that wear occurs in the abrasive and adjacent section of resin-based restorations, while in the marginal areas, marginal leakage was observed.
