This paper presents a study that compares non-manual markers of polar and wh-questions to statements in Kazakh-Russian Sign Language (KRSL) in a dataset collected for NLP tasks. The primary focus of the study is to demonstrate the utility of computer vision solutions for the linguistic analysis of non-manuals in sign languages, although additional corrections are required to account for biases in the output. To this end, we analyzed recordings of 10 triplets of sentences produced by 9 native signers using both manual annotation and computer vision solutions (such as OpenFace). We utilize and improve the computer vision solution, and briefly describe the results of the linguistic analysis.

We provide an overview of a new Computational Text Analysis course that will be taught at Barnard College over a six week period in May and June 2021. The course is targeted to non Computer Science at a Liberal Arts college that wish to incorporate f undamental Natural Language Processing tools in their re- search and studies. During the course, students will complete daily programming tutorials, read and review contemporary research papers, and propose and develop independent research projects.
In this paper we introduce a vision towards establishing the Malta National Language Technology Platform; an ongoing effort that aims to provide a basis for enhancing Malta's official languages, namely Maltese and English, using Machine Translation. This will contribute towards the current niche of Language Technology support for the Maltese low-resource language, across multiple computational linguistics fields, such as speech processing, machine translation, text analysis, and multi-modal resources. The end goals are to remove language barriers, increase accessibility, foster cross-border services, and most importantly to facilitate the preservation of the Maltese language.
The Dams are large and complex projects, and are generally characterized by the enormous cost of implementation in some cases, and the length of the implementation period, are rarely carried out a dam in Syria within the estimated plan which develo ped his of the cost and time, this is due to the risks that intercepted projects during the implementation phase and directly influenced the basic project objectives ( cost and time and quality). This research experiences to the reality of the implementation of the late dams, through undertake a study the risks suffered by the implementation of sector and influenced the basic objectives of the project (cost - time - quality), through a field survey study includes more than thirty-five dams in Syria. For this purpose have been used survey was distributed to a slice of experts and technicians in the form of dams, has enabled to obtain a list of the risks faced by the implementation of dams in addition to the assessment, In an attempt to develop a scientific methodology to analyze and manage the risks of dam projects by assessing the probability of their occurrence and their impact on the objectives of the project in the event of occurrence, with introduce a new standard for evaluating a detection / control, As per the approach to FMEA /Failure Mode and Effect Analysis/ and incorporate logic fuzzy, and arrange those risks according the Risk Criticality Number (RCN) for each risk early in order be sensitive to them than we can handled properly with proposing appropriate response strategies.
