This study aimed to investigate the relationship of the size and

The current study aimed to examine the effects of the modified tandem
appliance on the dimensions of the airways.
Pretreatment and post-treatment cephalograms of twelve patients with
maxillary deficiency, (7 girls, 5 boys; mean age 8±0.5 years), w

seeking treatment at the Department of Orthodontics, Damascus
University, were studied. These patients were treated using the modified
tandem appliance with rapid maxillary expansion.
This research was conducted in the countryside of Tartous, to aim for the analysis of moisture, protein, TSS and pH of royal jelly (RJ) harvested after 24 to 48 hours of grafting, compared with that traditionally harvested after 72 hours of grafting.
As well as to analysis of these compounds in (RJ) within cells to brood of workers, compared with the (RJ) product in cups. 50 samples were analyzed in wet weight and dry weight for (RJ), which was harvested in this research.
This study has been carried out on Saddled bream , from the
family of Sparidae, which was caught from the coastal waters of
Tartous province.
The results showed that, Saddled bream reached at the fifth stage
of sexual maturity during April and May for males and females,
and the study of the sexual maturity index GSI confirmed these
results.
The research was carried out in Nawa area in Daraa governorate during
the year 2012, to study the response of four sesame genotypes (Local Idleb,
Zouri, Improved Hourani and Brown Sudani) to four irrigation treatments
(rainfed cultivation, one sup
plemental irrigation during branches formation,
two supplemental irrigations during branche and capsules formation and three
supplemental irrigations during branches formation, capsules formation and
seed filling stages). The experiment was laid out in split plot design with three
replications. The statistical analysis clearly indicated to the existence of genetic
variation in (p < 0.05) the response of the studied sesame genotypes to applied
irrigation treatments. The genotype Local Idleb recorded significantly the
highest values of all investigated traits and the heighest seed yield (3.45 t. ha-1)
as compared to other studied genotypes. Providing sesame crop with three
irrigations surpassed in all investigated traits and recorded the highest seed
yield (3.79 t.ha-1). It was recommended to provide sesame crop with three
irrigations during critical stages (branches formation, capsules formation and
seed filling).
