Ion selective electrode of Cu٢+ for determining of copper (II) in acid and Ammonia Solutions is presented. Optimal conditions and main characteristics of such electrode have been determined. The effect of anionic surfactants on the electrode has been investigated. The use of protective film such as cellophane, cellulose acetate, Lavsan, or nitro cellulose could be possible in order to avoid the difficulties related to the work in surfactant presented in the solutions.

The objective of this study is to study some of the optimal analytical conditions for the determination of the Cu2+ ion using potentiometric titration method using the platinum electrode as a working electrode and the AgCL/Ag as a Reference electro de. In this study, the technical conditions were studied (working Electrode type, Reference Electrode type, Direction of titration, delay time, Proportional band, Speed of stirring) and the analytical conditions (pH value, time factor, quantity of solid KI added, electrolyte type and its concentration, detection limit) were studied using oxidation - reduction reactions as the method of iodide titration which applied successfully electrochemical for determine the Cu2+ ion.
The glassy carbon electrode has been used as working electrode, to study the electrochemical behavior of Se(IV), by using anodic stripping voltammetric method (ASV) in acidic media HCl. We found that The reason for the absence of analytical signal s expressed on flow any electrodic process due to reduction mechanism of Se(IV) on glassy carbon electrode from Se4+to Se2- and formation H2Se.
Recent work on aspect-level sentiment classification has employed Graph Convolutional Networks (GCN) over dependency trees to learn interactions between aspect terms and opinion words. In some cases, the corresponding opinion words for an aspect term cannot be reached within two hops on dependency trees, which requires more GCN layers to model. However, GCNs often achieve the best performance with two layers, and deeper GCNs do not bring any additional gain. Therefore, we design a novel selective attention based GCN model. On one hand, the proposed model enables the direct interaction between aspect terms and context words via the self-attention operation without the distance limitation on dependency trees. On the other hand, a top-k selection procedure is designed to locate opinion words by selecting k context words with the highest attention scores. We conduct experiments on several commonly used benchmark datasets and the results show that our proposed SA-GCN outperforms strong baseline models.
A new polyvinylchloride membrane sensitive to Cd+2 ions basede on 1,3-diphenyl-5-P-nitrophenylformazan as ionophore has been prepared. This electrode shows a Nernestian response for cadmuim ions over a wide range ( 1.0 ×10-6 to 1. 0 ×10-1 M ) with the slope of 27.74 mv . decade-1 . the detiction limite is 7 × 10-7 M . It has a fast response time of 15 s and can be used for at least 4 mounth without any divergence in potential . the electrode can be used in the pH range from 4.0 to 9.0 . the proposed electrode shows avery good discriminating ability towards Cd+2 ion in presence of some alkali , alkaline earth , transition and heavy metal ions. It was successfully applied for the direct determination of Cd+2 in standard and real sample solutions
The concentrations of copper (Cu) and zinc (Zn) in samples of some cereals available at local markets in Syria weredetermined, after nitric digestion, using Atomic Absorption Spectrometry. The study showed that the heavy metals were present in all samples at different levels. The concentration of heavy metals varied from trace to higher concentration. The maximum level of copper (Cu) in the cereal samples was 0.426 mg kg-1 on dry weight basis, where the maximum level of zinc (Zn) in the cereal samples was 2.325mg mg kg- 1 on dry weight basis. The analytical results obtained for the heavy metals indicate that the copper and zinc were present in all samples at concentration well below the acceptable concentration recommended by the World Health Organization.
