The substance, Na٢-EDTA, disodium salt of Ethylene Diamine Tetra Acetic acid, has big influence on the setting time of both Portland cement, and clinker. The time of initial, and final setting is remarkably changed in the presence of a small percentage of Na٢-EDTA (less than ١٪ of the cement weight). The chemical analysis indicates that the total concentration of calcium in the aqueous phase of cement increases in the presence of Na٢-EDTA. While, the concentration of free calcium ions in the aqueous phase decreases as the percentage of Na٢-EDTA increases. Na٢-EDTA forms chelating complexes with calcium, and some other metals such as iron and magnesium at high PH values, as in the case of a mixture of cement and water.

This study includes an experimental work to determine the effect of dilution on Hardfacing welding of clinker hammer crusher. In this work, samples have been prepared from the same metal type of hammer’s, of which is X120Mn12. Then the samples had been hardfaced using deferent kind of hardfacing Shielded Metal Arc Welding electrodes, and using deferent welding parameters (current, polarity), the calculation and measuring of dilution had done and then performed the hardness tests, wear tests, and their relation with dilution. This study showed that the reduction of heat input decreases dilution as the hardness of hardfaced samples increases and wear decreases. Direct current electrode positive (DCEP) increase dilution as the hardness of hardfaced samples decreases and wear increases, but the quality of the welding became better. Results showed that percentage of chromium and carbon in electrodes have positive effect on hardness.
The Objective is to determined whether enamel conditioning with sodium hypochlorite (5,25%) and EDTA prior to etching was increased shear bond strength of orthodontic brackets bonded with resin – modified glass ionomer. our sample consisted of 42 extracted human premolars were randomly divided into 3 groups.
The aim of this research is to speed up the offensive tactic by improving reaction time when performing the forehand strike . For this reason, this research adopted the( 24) participants from the first-class table tennis clubs players in Latakia ( junior category ). They were divided into two equal groups (experimental and control group ) . The two samples underwent a pre test to measure reaction time , and they performed the ball driven from the machine test. Then, the experimental group underwent training program designed for four weeks : each week is composed of three training session and each session includes four or five exercises to develop the reaction time in table tennis . The control group underwent their traditional program as usual. Then the two samples underwent a post test , and they also performed the ball driven from the machine test. The searcher used experimental method for two groups (experimental and control) by using the pre and post test to the both groups. Then the results of the two samples were compared between pre and post tests . The researcher concluded that the applied training program affected positively on improving reaction time when performing the forehand strike .
This research studied the impact of planting location and cooking time periods of (5, 10, 15, 20 and 40 minutes) on the antioxidant effect, and on the total Phenols and Flavonoids contents using five different samples of Syrian onions. The results showed that the total Phenols, total Flavonoids and antioxidant activity contents were between (279-583)mg/100g dry wt, (80-180)mg/100g dry wt, and (60-75%) respectively. In addition, boiling for different periods resulted in increased total Phenols from (383 to789)mg/100g dry wt and in total Flavonoids from (124 to 205)mg/100g dry wt as well as an increase of (77% to 88%) of antioxidant activity as measured using the DPPH method.
This study was conducted at the farm of agriculture college (Abu Jarash), Damascus university to determine the impact of time and depth of adding phosphorus on it's availability in calcareous soil cultivated with corn during 2011 and 2012 seasons. Super phosphorus fertilizer was added to the soil at three different depths (0, 10 and 20 cm), while the control spot left without fertilizer addition. Soil samples were taken for analysis of available phosphorus (P) from 12 replicates at different depths 0-10, 10-20, 20-30, 30-40 cm with two samples for every depth at zero time, 15, 30, 45, 60 and 90 days during the growing corn. Results indicated that the available phosphorus increased directly in all samples after cultivation, with a marked value recorded at all depths after 15 days of cultivation. This concentration began decreasing gradually with a constant rate in time in all transactions and reached 50% after 90 days of cultivation. It was also observed that available phosphorus was higher at the two depths, 0-10 and 10-20 cm and after 15 days of post- corn cultivation and followed by zero time and it was found that the best concentration was observed at depth extended from 0 to 20 cm in the treatment of adding fertilizer at depth of 10 cm and time of sampling was 15 days of cultivation.
