In this research two methods for preserving the chloroform extract in the roots of the Ferula hermonis were studied. The first one is summarized in putting the roots in refrigerators, and the second one is the freez drying of the roots. The results of the experiment have shown that the percentage of waste of the chloroform extract increased considerably in the first method with the increase of the time of preservation, whereas in the case of freeze drying method, the percentage of the waste of the chloroform extract was relatively low compared to the first method. We think that this method (freeze drying) is practical for the preservation of the chloroform extract, which expresses the active material in the ferula hermonis roots, and can be considered as cost – effective as far as the exploitation of these roots is concerned.

The antibacterial activity of Golden henbane (Hyoscyamus aureus) on several species of bacteria: Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli was determined. Samples of H. aureus plants were collected from six locations in southern Syria. The extract of roots and leaves of H. aureus were prepared at concentrations.
This research has done in aiming for the effect of extract of Nerium oleander plant in the level of blood sugar and total glucose , triple alglesiredat and total cholesterol on created albino mouse which has got diabetes. The results showed the fol lowing: - A Significant increase in the concentration on bothglucose, triple alglesiredat and cholesterol through a serum in the blood of created albino mouse which has got diabetes, while the weight decreases comparing to the control. - The injection of Aqueous extract led oleander leaves plant with dose of 200 mg / kg of mouse weight for a period of ten days to a significant decrease of concentration on glucose ,the rate of total cholesterol and triple alglesiredat, in addition to, the weight has returned to what it was before the injection.
In this research we studied the corrosion rate changes of iron samples which are not galvanized in the laborators ( laboratorsies of the faculty of science) and in nature (on the beach of the high-institute sea- research in Lattakia) The Inula ext racts were choosen as a plant inhibitor to cover the iron samples and protect it . because this plant is well known in the Coastal area, also it,s very cheap and easy to find and has good anti oxidation properties. The best conditions for (Inula-seawater) extract were : (PH=7 , time =24 hours , concent ration = 10%). The studied iron samples were treated with the ( inula-seawater) extract in the same previous conditions and we studied the corrosion rate changes for those samples and the affectivity of the inhibitor for them. The results were compared in each stage with other samples that were not treated . the treatment and after it were as follows: The velocity of the corrosion in the iron samples (before the treatment with the extract) in 120 days: - in the laboratory tanks was 0.78 mg/cm2 .day, but after the treatment was 0.23 mg/cm2.day -in the drizzle area was 0.80 mg/cm2.day, but after the treatment was 0.47 mg/cm2.day -in the waves area was 0.75 mg/cm2.day , but after the treatment was 0.41 mg/cm2.day - in the depth area was 0.79 mg/cm2.day , but after the treatment was 0.21 mg/cm2.day.
Fusarium oxysporum and F. solani, causal agents of wilt and rot root in citrus seedling are variable pathogens. This study was conducted on the effect of different media in characters, sporulation, and spore germination of fusarium spp. Isolates th at were isolated from seed and seedling of citrus. The data revealed that the maximum mycelial growth was obtained in most isolates on Potato Sucrose agar for F. oxysporum and F. solani, followed by Potato Dextrose agar for F. oxysporum, and by Czapek’sDox agar for F. solani. The maximum sporulation was recorded in Potato Sucrose agar medium followed byCzapek’sDox agar . The study also showed that Potato Dextrose agar was the best for germination of spores.
The roots of durum and bread wheat were treated with ٠,٢٪, ٠,٤٪, ٠,٨٪ and ١,٢٪ of the herbicide (٢،٤ - D + MCPA) for ٥, ١٠, ١٥ and ٢٠ hours. As the period of treatment increased, the effect on mitotic rate and mitotic phases was increased; this wa s indicated by the correlation coefficient. Durum wheat gave higher correlation coefficient. Chromosomal aberrations were noted during anaphase as a result of the treatment with ٠,٢٪ concentration. Mitosis was fully blocked and various genetical aberrations were observed as, multinuclei, separation of DNA pieces and distraction of genetical material appeared at higher concentration.
