In this research the dynamic impact of the interconnection on the rotor angle Stability for Synchronous Generators in the Syrian Network were analyzed through the dynamic simulation of the power system and building of equations is linear and then use the program PSS / E (Power system simulation)to resolve and identify determinants of the system and determine critical fault clearing times of three-phase faults on the 400 KV addition to identifying the angular revolving generators and thus to verify the stability whether of its work independently within the Syrian electrical system or as part of the five countries interconnection project.
The out-of-stability state of synchronous generator which connected to high voltage network due to the transient situations which lead us to disconnect the generator causes finincial and technical problems. Therfore the purpose of this research i s to study the stability of synchronous generator working which connected to high voltage network through the transient situation. This research present the posibilty of returning the synchronous generator to synchronous-steadystate at the late time of the transient state when the load angle is in the out-of-stability zone through controling the rotor-excitation and increasing the generator’s electric motive force. This lead to increase the generator’s maximum power and to increase the generator’s stability-torque which lead to return the synchronous generator to synchronous-steadystate without need of discconecting it from network. Then put the mathmatical model.
This paper tries to clarify the impact of parallel and serial compensation of power transmission lines on the performance of distance relays which protect these lines. To this end, power system analysis software (NEPLAN) will be used for explaining distance relay behavior in the presence of different parallel or serial reactive power compensators, with main types of faults that may occur in different locations on the protected line. In this paper, Syrian power transmission network is simulated using (NEPLAN) software, and three reactive power compensators: parallel (STATCOM), serial (TCSC), and unified (UPFC), are used to compensate reactive power on transmission line. Several simulations, in many cases are carried out to illustrate the impact of fault type and location on the measured impedance seen by the distance relay. The objective of identifying the impact of reactive compensators on fault impedance seen by distance relay (i.e. fault location), is to determine the possible ways to resolve the problem and improve the performance of transmission line protection.
Reactive power compensation in distribution networks is one of the most important economic and environmental issues in power system studies. In this paper the following points are investigated: · The characteristics of the most developed equipment used for reactive power compensation. · Equations used in ETAP program calculation · OCP is part of ETAP program which gives us the possibility to determine optimal reactive power sizing and placement in distribution networks in order to achieve optimal Power loss and distribution power system enhancement. · ETAP program is applied on a part of Damascus suburb electrical network which was simulated by its real parameters and the positive economical and technical results have been clarified.
We, in Al AHLIA Company for RUBBER and Plastic Products - Damascus by Coordination with Damascus University, prepared a typical blend for local production of the electric generators elastomeric couplings. That was achieved after a detailed analysi s of the properties of the imported couplings. To confirm our aims, we used the available materiales, equipment and machines in the company. The coupling moulded by a press machine type CAPANAING BENEPETO.
