The education of wasting energy by Windge in helical gears has achieved in high speed by testing a group of gears that made of beech in determined geometrical specifications. So a testing device is designed and developed to measure the Windge wasting energy in gears. This device is consists of electrical driver (3kw) that turning a pivot that leaned on two rolling carrier across a friction wheel. This indented friction wheel is ride in the end of pivot, while the other free end is supplied with electromagnetic sensor to measure the turning speed as a function of time across a control board. The Windge wasting energy is determined by minus the wasting energy that resulting from turning the pivot alone, from that resulting from turning the whole system (pivot-gear). After doing the tests and experiments, the patterns of the losing (theoretical losses, practical losses) is draw. Then a comparative between the theoretical losses and that has gotten from testing device.

The use of modern methodologies and techniques a new approach to evaluate the process of engineering design in the industry pay to use in evaluating the speed in large cans mechanisms design. The gearbox that is designed for big vehicles for off-r oad driving conditions need portal axle which installed between the wheel and the axle shaft to give higher ground clearance to the vehicle. The modeling and simulation of spur gear which contacted with portal axle is important to predict the actual motion behavior, but it's so complicated to study. In this study, it'll analysis the portal axle by using finite element method (FEM), modal analysis will simulated on three different combinations of gear train system, the three gear trains being analyzed are: gear train without idler gear, one idler gear and two idler gears. FEM static stress analysis will also simulated on three different gear train to study the gear teeth bending stress and contact stress behavior of the gear trains in different angular positions from °0 to °18 degree.
In this study، a traditional air source heat pump was modified by adding secondary evaporator within hot water tank which acted as a water heat source of the heat pump. We made the heat pump to run alternatively either using surrounding air heat or water heat gained from solar power. We have done experiments during five months starting in December of 2014 until April 2015. Temperature and pressure were measured at specific points of the cycle. Then we defined the enthalpy at each point for both cycles using EES software (which is a software to simulate thermodynamic elements)، and calculated the amounts of heat gained in the evaporator، heat charged from the condenser، compressor work، coefficient of performance ، and electrical power consumed by the compressor. Then we made a compare between the two cycles and found that the improvement ratio in of the modified cycle to the traditional cycle was 77.07%، and the reduction ratio in electrical power consumed by the compressor of the modified cycle was 33.54%.
A pilot unit was constructed and operated to study the ability of treating polluted water using biological treatment. The experimental unit consists of water sprayer unit that ensure wetting of the filtered media and distributing water in a homogen ous manner as well as increasing the dissolved oxygen concentration in water. This research aims to study the effect of market power and cost efficiency on the financial performance of banks listed on the Damascus Stock Exchange during the period from 2012 to 2018, using a sample consisting of 11 traditional private banks. The results showed an adverse and statistically significant effect of market power as measured by the Hirshman Herfendall HHI index on financial performance, and a direct and statistically significant effect of cost efficiency on financial performance, which indicates the ability of banks to control input costs and strive to keep costs at a minimum in order to achieve higher returns.
This paper presents a strategy of variable speed wind turbine connected to a permanent magnet synchronous generator; the goal is to get the most possible wind turbines. We used a wind energy conversion system model consisting of a wind turbine, perma nent magnet synchronous generator, rectifier, buck-boost chopper, inverter, load, and traditional controller PI to stabilize the voltage obtained from the wind turbine and synchronous generator at a variable wind speed. Then we used one of the artificial intelligence techniques represented by the genetic algorithm to get the maximum possible wind turbine. The traditional controller PI and the genetic algorithm we modeled using the Matlab R2014a program and from it we obtained the advantages of mechanical power for wind turbine and determined maximum power points at each wind speed.
