In this study, we have developed a mathematical model, which formed the basis for the development of a digital diagnostic model, for the question of the relation between the engine torque (and therefore power), and the clearances in the basic and secondary bearings of the crankshaft, to diagnose clearance values in these bearings, /which will inevitably affect on the torque and the vibrations of the engine/, where multiple and various grand-scale case experiments were carried out through simulation and arithmetic experimentation on a diagnostic model, which constituted the first and main phase (the instruction phase) of the full diagnosis. And at the end we discussed the results and put some conclusions and recommendations to complete the work in the future.

Studies have proven that the indicatingpressure chart of marine engine cylinder can providemany information not only about pressure, but also about a large number of parameters that are useful in enhancing engine performance. Therefore, in this resea rch paper, we attempt to study the indicators that complete the physical image of the work cycle. This attempt uses an elaborate and comprehensive mathematical model for obtaining and using these parameters in order to form a clear image of the work cycle based on the dynamics of heat release in the cylinder, for the purposes of enhancing performance and achieving a more efficient, more economical mechanical operation. As a result we will reach a number of conclusions and recommendations which, upon being approved and used, can help to achieve with great mathematical accuracy a more optimized characteristic of the work cycle.
Hydrocarbon burning nowadays has a great part of the required energy consumed in the world, mainly in the transport vehicle engines, which seems to be the main source in the future. This urges us develop the fuel burning in different internal combust ion engines according to the environmental increasing requirements nowadays. The carbon fine-dust produced is the main source of the environmental pollutants, which could be considered as the main cause of cancer. Therefore our present paper deals with the way of carbon fine dust formation during fuel burning in engines and gives a mathematical model describing that complex method, and studying the different function affecting its formation, the aim is to find a way to develop the burning process in engines and increase its working and decrease the pollution produced.
The under keel clearance (UKC) is considered as one of the most important factor which governs the navigation safety in restricted waterways. However, the notion of safe under keel clearance is directly related to ship sinkage. The recent researche s to evaluate ship sinkage show that it is related to vessel potential energy. The curve of vessel displacement in heave motion as function of potential energy shows that a ship has three equilibrium positions; stable equilibrium position represents steady squat and unstable equilibrium position which can be considered as a virtual bottom for a ship, the third stable equilibrium position does not have any physical signification, since it lies below the bottom. The principal goal of this paper is to develop a mathematical model for vessel motion during acceleration phase by considering several assumptions. Then, analyze the conversion of kinetic energy to potential energy at the unstable equilibrium position during acceleration phase. By taking into account the period during which the vessel accelerates as well as the vessel speed at the end of the acceleration phase. The results show that ship stability could be affected by the oscillations generated at the end of this phase.
The technical and economical indexes of most maritime companies in developed countries have improved due to the strict application of the administrative and technical regulations in order to operate their ships, especially after the International Saf ety Management code (ISM) has come into force. With this in mind this paper studies the mechanisms of technical operation in Syrian maritime companies in order to have a realization of the actual reality of technical operations, and also to reach a better status. Data from various Syrian maritime companies are collected and assessed, from which several results are obtained which, when taken into consideration, are believed to lead to improving the technical, economic, and environmental circumstances surrounding the technical operation of ships in Syria. They will also lead to lessening the stoppages that result from malfunctions in these ships, and ultimately reaching a higher level of technical operation and achieving superior outcomes
The research focused on the conclusion of a mathematical model to determine the proportion of nitrogen oxides emitted from the internal combustion engine based on the equations of chemical interaction of direct and reverse the conventional fuel wit h the use of many of the correction coefficients, as well as the possibility of developing this model. Search to find out the concentration of nitrogen oxides NO changes resulting from the combustion of fuel in internal combustion engines that run on diesel fuel and gasoline adopted, during work time, and then transform this relationship to calculate the ratio of the concentrations according to the angle of rotation of the engine crankshaft.
