The aim of this study is to evaluate the thoracoscopic sympathectomy as a mini-invasive surgical procedure for the treatment of palmar and axillary hyperhidrosis. 39 patients were involved in this study. The ages were ranging between (17_45) years. 78 surgical procedures were performed for these patients. Every patient underwent simultaneously -in the same op-sitting-bilateral thoracoscopic sympathectomies T2-T4 . Succass rate, i.e , abscence of axillary and palmar hyperhidrosis, was 100%. The most discomfortable complicantion for the patients was compensatory sweating which happend in 28% of our patients. The reuslts we achieved were very encouraging and promising , and the complications were acceptable. Therefor we advice to continue the applicatin of thoracoscopic sympathectomy T2-T4 as an ideal methode for treatment of palmar and axillary hyperhidrosis.

Tuberculosis is still a worldwide disease. Medical treatment is essential but surgery still has a role in the diagnosis and treatment of several various thoracic tuberculous lesions (both pulmonary and extra-pulmonary). We aim to present and analy zethe results of surgical treatment of thoracic tuberculous cases in Al-Assad University Hospital in Damascus. Also, we purpose to determine the indications of thoracoscopic and traditional surgical interventions in this field, and studying their complications.
we have started applying assisted thoracoscopic surgery (VATS) in AL-ASSAD University hospital in Damascus in 1992 and we achieved in a period past 332 different operations, most of them were done under general anesthesia, only 48 cases were done under local, due to the risk of general anesthesia. The age of patients varied between 13-72 year.
Hemorrhoids are a common anorectal condition with a major medical and socioeconomic impact. Owing to the high incidence of hemorrhoids in the adult population together with the risk of complications of traditional treatment. The aim of our study was to present our experience with laser procedure to treat 2- and 3-degree hemorrhoids with absent or minimal mucosal prolapse. Our study included 150 patients with 2 and 3 degree of symptomatic hemorrhoids who underwent to a medical center in Latakia city in 2017-2019. Data were collected on clinical and outcome. some of this result were compared with global studies. Our study included 100 male and 50 female patients of mean age 40 years. Hundred and ten patients had bleeding and 40 patients had hemorrhoidal syndrome. Mean operative time was 25± 5 minutes. Patients were discharged home within a mean 240 ± 60 minutes and allowed to resume normal activities on the first day post operation. Intraoperative bleeding occurred in 20 patients (13,3%). 1-2-day post operation, bleeding occurred in 3 patients. Hemorrhoidal thrombosis formed in in 10 patients 6,66%. At the six months follow – up, no complications were reported, and there was significant improvement in symptoms. No pain reported on week post operation in 73,3% of patients. Patients with 2- and 3-degree hemorrhoids with or absent minimal mucosal prolapse, treated by laser procedure had an excellent outcome in term of resolution of symptoms and postoperative pain. Minor complications occurred intraoperation. No negative results or recurrence had been noted after six months post operation and this is important when compared to traditional surgery.
Background: primary percutaneous coronary intervention PCI is the treatment of choice in civilized countries for acute myocardial infarction, the aim of the treatment here is the revascularization as soon as possible. Patients and methods: it is re trospective study of 133 patients of acute MI have been divided into two subgroups. The first subgroup has been treated with streptokinase infusion, and the other subgroup has beet treated by PCI. We monitored the patients within hospitalization , reinfarction, mortality, cardiogenic shock, heart failure, also we recorded the time needed to apply the method of treatment and Timi score by diagnostic cardiac catheterization after applying the treatment. Aim of study: to compare between streptokinase and PCI in our hospitals to know which way is better in which we can give the best medical care for this critical patients. Results: 63 patients undergo to pci and 70 patients undergo to streptokinase therapy. Streptokinase group had higher rates in mortality for noncardiac reasons 100%, cardiogenic shock 60% , reinfarction 81%, mortality for cardiac reasons 80%, while it was faster in applying the treatment and equal to pci in timi score. While pci group has higher rated in hospitalization for cardiac reasons 70% and in cases that has new congestive heart failure 63%, and nearly equal to streptokinase group in timi score. Conclusion: pci was better in mortality and cardiogenic shock and reinfarction than streptokinase but it was worse in hospitalization for cardiac reasons and congestive heart failure cases . pci was too late than streptokinase in applying the treatment . we notice that the two methods of treatment was nearly equal in timi score.
Dark circles around the eyes cause cosmetic and psychological problems. They are the most common cause of major cosmetic problems after wrinkles. Thus there is a need to look for new therapeutic options to improve the unacceptable cosmetic cases. In our research, we evaluated the effectiveness of each fruit acid and vitamin k in the treatment of dark circles around the eyes in 120 patients. The patients were randomly divided into three groups of 40 patients each. In the first group, fruit acid of 40% density was used as the only treatment. In the second group, topical vitamin k of 2% density was used as the only treatment. In the third group, both of fruit acids and the vitamin k were used for treatment. The goal of this study was to determine the best therapeutic protocol to treat dark circles around the eyes
