This research highlights the elements of the traditional residence building in Sana'a, and tends to explain its intellectual trends, environmental, economic, social and cultural, in order to conclude a set of results, recommendations and suggestions that will contribute to the promotion and development of the level of thinking design in a building housing Yemeni contemporary and future, in accordance with the requirements of modern economic and social development. The research deals with the needs to form the science of westernism as per the arab ego to be pure and free from western colonial cultural orientalism indirectly, being far from reaction as centeralized on the axis of self-arrogance towards uprising arab scientific thought whose concern is to keep abreast of the world and go into history with keeping up the ego safe and secure, through analyzing the phenomenon of western superiority and detecting the keys of power and its reasons to find why we are fused in the western civilization. This is to stop being fascinated excessively by that, to get rid of that or to lessen the duality of south and north or arabs and the western to get to a state of international participation in making the pillars of civilization, and to stop being annexed to the west and taking with no return. Not doing that, the picture of the arab and the muslim will not be corrected for themselves first and for the world second. Thus, this research is an attempt to focus on the leading role of arabs and muslims to have a thought mechanism, not pragmatic but scientific to keep abreast of history force with no clash or being annexed, so it should be noted that orientalism is a thought that stands on the opposite bank of the westernized thought . today, the west is especially fully ready to get any Arabic text to criticize it, including America, and to criticize its racism in order to be considered as serving their centrality in an attempt to make arab drain purchased especially those who think of the arab Islamic identity to have them work for their mythodology because this colonialism is not pure coincidence, but it is based on hardworking pursuit in avery tireless way.
During the past few decades , the urban boundaries of many Arab cities expanded, and their residential areas expanded due to increasing in the population density and the expansion of economic activity, in addition to prevailing building system, and d ecreasing in the supply of the suitable lands for constructions and its high price, all this led to the spread of multy-storey residential buildings in attached and closely patterns, even it becomes the prevailing and approved system of construction system, without regarding the requirements of social human needs, in the design of external spaces, which in turn results in loosing the social relations among the inhabitants. Paper’s hypothesis: The pattern and style of surrounding spaces design in residential buildings of contemporary architecture without taking into account of the social factor, is one of the most important reasons for the shortcomings of the social vitality of these areas. This paper is based on studying these spaces in social function by extrapolating the performance of few models and analyzing them in order to reach an interactive and dynamic relationship between a human and his residential environment ,and community, within the borders of an apartment building and surrounding external spaces. This national consciousness is essentially a social consciousness with a complex structure in which individual consciousness is inserted alongside the collective consciousness
The contemporary Arabic economic thought is considered as one of the Arabic thought components which is suffering from many problems. The least of these problems is the absence of freedom and the most is the absence of scientific methodology in the c ontext of interaction with life realities. These problems lead to the schism between the traditional and the innovation thinking and the conflict between the components of the this economic thought.
Modern Arabic architecture has been facing important challenges imposed in many fields by changes occurring internationally and in the West, especially in terms of architecture. The effect of these changes on the visual appearance of the city has bee n clearly evident, with everything this entails in terms of formation and architectural samples. This was due to a group of internal and external effects which contributed to accelerating the spread of intellectual theoretical movements and new architectural philosophies which differed in how they responded to local data. This really problematic trend in modern Arabic architecture became apparent and manifested itself by achieving balance and integration between originality and tradition on the one hand, and modernism and contemporariness on the other. The number of frames available to the Arabic architect became more numerous, to include rejection, advocacy and reformation, and this was reflected in the architectural formations which became multiple and were characterized by pluralism. This led to the loss of their local identity and to a contradiction between their visual and formative modes. A number of Arab architects became aware of this problem at the end of the 20th century, so they analyzed its causes and its transformative mechanism. Attempts were started to find logical and rational solutions to guarantee harmony between technical and scientific development on the one hand, and a sense of belonging to the place on the other.
